’)The ABC/Washington Post poll has Sen. Obama ahead of McCain, 52-43. A nine point lead in a poll that two weeks ago had them 49-47 McCain. Neat.
* Sarah Palin’s unfavorables have increased by 10%
Over the past two weeks, the percentage of independents with favorable views of Palin dropped from 60 percent to 48 percent. Among independent women, the decline was particularly sharp, going from 65 percent to 43 percent. Her favorable rating among whites without college degrees remained largely steady, but among those with college degrees, it dropped nearly 20 percentage points.
* They’re even among white women, with a slight lead among white voters for Sen. McCain

I wonder if McCain will try and re-boot by dumping Palin. I mean, err, I wonder if Sarah will decide she needs to stay home and look after Trig and Tree and Trip or whatever.

McCain has to stick it out with Palin – dumping her would be too much of a dis to the religious republicans he finally got to back him, and to everyone else it would come across as indecision and weakness (i.e. “blinking”)
What it means is that the Republicans have DESTROYED: the jobs – sent them all overseas, housing – by deregulating EVERYTHING there has been no oversight, the middle class – partly by shipping off the jobs and partly by destroying all the Unions which were the working mans vehicle to the middle class, America’s reputation, America’s respect, America’s future…need I go on?
AND, despite that ONLY 52% of us want to see these BRAINLESS-SH*TS-BATCRAZY-FLATEARTHERS kicked out of office.
THANK GOD – if only takes 272 electoral college votes to send these people on a raft to infamy!

It take 270 electoral votes, not 272. (538 possible, 1/2 of that is 269, so 270 to outright win.)
I finally got my funny today, and from none other than Campbell Brown (CNN), get the video cos it’s even more funny, but here’s the text:
“Tonight I call on the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower that will wilt at any moment,” said Brown. “This woman is from Alaska from crying out loud. She is strong. She is tough. She is competent. And you claim she is ready to be one heart beat away form the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff. Allow her to face down those pesky reporters… Let her have a real news conference with real questions. By treating Sarah Palin different from the other candidates in this race, you are not showing her the respect she deserves. Free Sarah Palin. Free her from the chauvinistic chain you are binding her with. Sexism in this campaign must come to an end. Sarah Palin has just as much a right to be a real candidate in this race as the men do. So let her act like one.”

Ed, dead on right. We should campaign like it’s 48-47 Obama behind because we never know where or when it might be. I intend to bust my butt hard in Virginia this weekend for Team Obama.
