This is hilarious! Well, I guess Michael Steele has had past experience pretending to run as a Democratic candidate.

Bumper stickers – that’s all it takes

  2. ed says:

That’s funny, but as someone over at Open Left pointed out: look for McCain to do well in the debates (keep in mind that, unfortunately, perception–often created by Republican Noise Machine and tire swinging medias–is reality). I’m just the messenger.

He also has experience pretending to be black.

  4. anotherbozo says:

Surely not the ONLY Obama standin?? Unfuckingbelievable. This is so that McCain won’t experience mind-numbing shock as he stares across the stage and sees… a dark face? The mind reels. We want this to be a BIG network story.

  5. Enlightened Liberal says:

Pretty transparent that they use the one black guy in the Republic party to be the stand in.

  6. Sean D. Martin says:

Here is some of what the advisers are telling their candidates, based on interviews with both campaigns:

To Sen. McCain: Don’t be so “brutally honest” that you spell out what you don’t know, such as the imploding economy. Don’t let early jitters make you come off as “testy.” Those superstitious tokens? Make sure they are handy so you aren’t thrown if you can’t find them.

    McCain? Honest? Bwahahahahaha.

And a superstitious President who can’t face the public without fondling his tokens? Yeah, Linus for President. That’s what we need.

  7. essrog says:

    Well … Alan Keyes

(That would have been even funnier)

  8. Duros Hussein62 says:

I think you misread that, Sean.

Don’t be so “brutally honest” that you spell out what you don’t know,

    In other words, lie.

  9. Enlightened Liberal says:

Isn’t Alan Keyes in the Independence Party or some dreck that is too backward to fit in the Republic party?

  10. essrog says:

Actually, I was aware of that but had forgotten, my bad. I’ll revise to “Alan Keyes, no longer available”

  11. jr says:

“John McCain opposed Martin Luther King day because he was a POW”-Michael Steele

  12. Sean D. Martin says:

Martin Luther King was a POW? Whoda thunk it?

  13. AMINLA says:

So Steele is that OTHER one?
