Now now, be fair. It’s been established the McCain doesn’t actually own the houses and cars and jet. His wife does, so they clearly don’t count.
Does it count that his wife owns a United States Senator?
Ha. In the special 7-episode MTV Cribs that will feature McCain, he can point out which of the kitchen tables he and Cindy like to sit at when they discuss their finances.
I’m not looking forward to the tour of the bedrooms; I don’t want to hear John say “this is where the magic happens”.
“Does it count that his wife owns a United States Senator?”
She actually lists him as a dependent.
My, my. Something tells me Obama’s bitter and clinging comments about the hicks in Pennsylvania he made to rich donors out in a San Francisco liberal enclave really had a profound effect on everyone here.
So many scores to settle. So little time.
We can assume, naturally, that Dennis never referred to President Clinton as “Bubba”, naturally. Just like all the Republicans who are so very concerned about elitism.
I thought we settled this. POW!
elitist is in the Fox thesaurus for uppity
OW’s occasional use of Mr. Moneybags has got me picturing a monopoly themed ad — Sen. Obama on the horse on Illinois Ave. with one little green house, with Sen. McCain in the car on Boardwalk with thirteen hotels.
Eh? Eh?
I think ultra-wealthy elitists like Johnathan Sydney McCain III have every right to be ultra-wealthy elitists.
But they don’t have a right to call themselves “friends of working people,” ‘cuz they ain’t.
But they don’t have a right to call themselves “friends of working people,” ‘cuz they ain’t.
Sure he does. He buys products that help a lot of working men and women. Houses and cars- American houses and American cars. And he donates a very large percentage of his income to charities that help the working people.
Compare and contrast to Joe Biden’s charitable contributions. Or even Obama’s contributions pre-Presidential campaign run. Or his contributions to his step-brother in Kenya.
People know who’s real or not by what they say and do and how they act, not by what they have. Elitism isn’t a number and it isn’t necessarily determined by wealth or the amount of houses and cars one possesses. It’s a mindset. The jury is already out on what candidate has made the elitist statements.
Give it a rest, Dennis. McCain isn’t fooling anyone around here. Except you.
Sure he does. He buys products that help a lot of working men and women. Houses and cars- American houses and American cars. And he donates a very large percentage of his income to charities that help the working people
He’s buying these products? Not his drug stealing beer baroness trophy wife? He donates lots of his income? The income he doesn’t need because his sugar mama is paying for everything?
Keep on digging up, stupid. Is it just me or has the quality level of Republican’t trolls gone down sharply of late? Must already be whining about the lack of billions in their golden parachutes…
Dennis,
You’re joking?
Barack plays poker. John plays craps.
That’s all I need to know.
People know who’s real or not by what they say and do and how they act, not by what they have.
Exactly so, Dennis. That’s why I’m voting for Obama.
I would love to see McCain proudly trumpet his houses from the front of his motorcade (including his Volkswagon and Honda) as a show of friendship to working people.
A giant banner reads: MY FRIENDS, I BOUGHT THESE FROM YOU
His tribute to the common man climaxes with the boom of his corporate jet flying overhead
Exactly so, Dennis. That’s why I’m voting for Obama.

That was never in doubt, I’m quite sure. What is somewhat comical is the fake outrage over Cindy McCain’s wealth. The mad scramble to paint McCain as someone more like what Barack Obama has been painted as by his own words and actions, not by what he has bought.
It’s not who you or I are voting for, but who gets that elitist tag and in what places. People unsure about McCain won’t vote for him not because he’s too rich and has too many cars, it will be because he’s a Republican. Not so with Obama, at least not as much. His bitter and clinging to God and guns comment cost him a few states already against Hillary. They may cost him one or two key states again. Call me a troll, but that is the truth. And McCain’s 13 cars won’t hurt him either, especially not with Sarah Palin sitting right next to him. And not with the unbelievable tightwad Joe Biden sitting next to Obama.
I’m not outraged over Cindy’s wealth. I’m outraged that her wealth somehow is supposed to make McCain more of a man of the people when he wouldn’t piss on poor people if they were on fire.
Obama is more like me, pure and simple. We share the same set of values that were instilled in us from childhood.
McCain[’s had a silver spoon his whole life.
The difference between the elitism of Barack Obama and John McCain is that the former had to strive for those things which make him elite, a quality education, a teaching assignment at an top-flight university, an ascent into the halls of power. John McCain screwed his way into power. Yet somehow Republicans, the great warriors against waste, fraud and abuse, are o.k. by this. It’s almost like in their quest for power, they’ve lost their soul…
In all fairness, it should be noted that Volkswagen and Honda have plants in the US.
Ok, so noted, and all the better since that means they can be included in McCain’s 13-car motorcade for the common man

What is somewhat comical is the fake outrage over Cindy McCain’s wealth.
Yeah – we’re laughing almost as hard as when Republican’ts were when they puring out all that fake outrage over Theresa Heinz Kerry.
The mad scramble to paint McCain as someone more like what Barack Obama has been painted as by his own words and actions, not by what he has bought.
The mad scramble by Republican’ts to put words in Obama’s mouth is painting him to be as much of a weaselly lying clueless old man as the clueless old man’s actual words and deeds are doing to paint him as the clueless lying old man that he is? Do tell!
It’s not who you or I are voting for, but who gets that elitist tag and in what places. People unsure about McCain won’t vote for him not because he’s too rich and has too many cars, it will be because he’s a Republican.
I’m sure you really believe this, Dennis. That’s why you’re so vigorously fluffing the clueless old man with your lies here on a liberal blog, and so vigorously supporting the empty suit the Republican’ts are running for president this year. Oh, wait…
Not so with Obama, at least not as much.
It must be so because Dennis says so! What, did you expect, like, facts and stuff? From a Repblican’t?
Why would they start now?
His bitter and clinging to God and guns comment cost him a few states already against Hillary. They may cost him one or two key states again.
Or, conversely, monkeys may fly out of Dennis’ butt…
Call me a troll, but that is the truth.
Okay – you’re a troll and that’s the truth!
And McCain’s 13 cars won’t hurt him either, especially not with Sarah Palin sitting right next to him.
Are you sure about that? Rapture Barbie is starting to sound like she wants to start driving the Anything But Stright Talk Express into the ground (not that McClueless isn’t on course already), and the clueless old man might not get up from his nap in time to catch her. And the clueless old man is actually claiming that some of his cars are american because the foreign company that makes them built them in their american plant. I’m sure that the american people are quite forgiving with an elitist rich arsehole who claims he’s buying american because his mercedes was produces in Massabama. Maybe you can join me in a tour of the local GM plant and see how well that talking point goes over…
And not with the unbelievable tightwad Joe Biden sitting next to Obama.
Wow – the unbelievable tightwad who can actually release his tax returns, so we can find out how much he officially donates (doesn’t include his church tithes, or any other charitable activities / donations, though). I wonder if Cindy McCain will ever release her husband’s financial information so we can find out if he donates anything to anyone at all (who hasn’t given him lobbyist kickbacks or diplomatic passports for his wife to smuggle drugs abroad with). Has Rapture Barbie told us how much gubmint cheese she gets for her cushy gubmint job? How much in perks she gets for the First Dude?
Funny how Republican’t Putsch fellators such as Dennis can’t find the time to look at the fifty times larger Republican’t scandals in his haste to fling mud at Obama. You forgot to use the Messiah reference too, Dennis! No Scaife money for this bout of trolling!
Oh, and I alomst forgot – thanks, OW, for enabling us to preview our comments now! At least I won’t leave as many html tags open in comments…
Let me ask a simple question: Which group of people said that Haruhi-ism couldn’t be a religion? Hint: it wasn’t the liberals.
Now, now, don’t you see that Dennis is right? Of course, Obama is elitist. A man of humble beginnings and of modest upbringing who happens to be of that race? He must be elitist if he thinks he’s above his station in life!
Meanwhile, I have it good authority that the McCains are true salt of the earth people. Why, they even have their own little farm village where they can dress up like plain folk and play farmer. Its just like Crawford!
Elitism is not how you live. It’s not even what you say. It’s to whom you pander.
Its just like Crawford!
Ah ha, but is John afraid of horses?
