Redskins FTW (2-1)

Jim Zorn

A pretty decent outing from the Redskins. The offense from the first game now looks like early season jitters. Jason Campbell finally has realized that when the lane is wide open and the wideouts covered, its okay for him to run with the ball (to the tune of 26 yards today). I think the defense really got in Kurt Warner’s head, and the home crowd made things pretty difficult for him as well with the noise.

Still not sure Jim Zorn exercises the best judgement, especially with that late-game field goal try and miss that gave the Cardinals such good field position. But he’s 2-1 and I ain’t going to bitch and moan over a Redskins head coach with a winning record.

Bring on Dallas!

ALSO: The Gods of Football continue to punish the Patriots for their transgressions.

As of week three, the Skins would be the class of at least two divisions and competitive in pretty much all the others – unfortunately, they play in the NFC east. Uphill by any measure.

How long before somebody uses the word ’shadenfreude’ in a story about the Dolphins blowing NE off the field?

    Redskins? How.

    About.

    Dem.

    BILLLLLLLLS?!!!!

P.S. Oakland fans suck worse than Oakland. But you knew that.

  3. Parthenon says:

The Bills are one of those scrappy little teams (unheralded QB, no-name defense and receiver core, practically in Canada) that I’d love to see do well.

Oliver, you really don’t want Dallas. The Redskins psyche is fragile and I’m not sure they’ll recover easily from the beating they’re gonna get down in Big D.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that DP. Plenty of unexpected victories going down this season, so don’t be so quick to lay your money down on Dallas against Washington. Besides, any team with Crayton as their #2 receiver really can’t be too sure of anything, can it?

  6. DP says:

David – I definitely wouldn’t hang my hat on the skins winning because of Crayton being the number 2 receiver. In actuality, he’s our 3; Jason Witten is the number 2 option. And that is nowhere near all of the playmakers on that offense. Anything is possible, granted, and even with the Redskins looking somewhat improved over what they’ve been the last few years, I still say Dallas is going to beat them handily.
