After his horrible week where America learned that John McCain would be useless in an economic crisis, he decided to try to attack Senator Obama today.

‘Whether it’s a reversal in war, or an economic emergency, he reacts as a politician and not as a leader, seeking an advantage for himself instead of a solution for his country,’ he said.

The problem with this description is that it has far more in common with the despicable campaign of John “Me First” McCain.

This is a meme that needs to grow. McCain as a typical, self-serving politician. The great thing about spreading it, it’s the truth.

  2. Ray Radlein says:

Is that new? Republicans always project their own vices and weaknesses on others in their attacks.

  3. daniel rotter says:

So a politician uses the word “politician” as a slur. Boy, that’s brilliant on McCain’s part (rolls eyes).

That’s right, Ray. It’s getting to be very predictable and very ridiculous. They seem to accuse other people of exactly what they’re guilty of (even when that makes NO sense whatsoever), using it as a sort of preemptive strike. I guess they figure that it defangs subsequent attacks from the other side on the same issue. I’m surprised we haven’t heard McCain attack Obama for being a 73-year-old POW…

McCain treats the truth like he treated Carol

Yes, I know. It’s pathetic. The response should be “What? Who does he think he’s kidding????”

  7. anotherbozo says:

That’s just the Rove strategy in action, no? Call your opponent out on YOUR weakness. Or is it merely the projection of the terminally self-centered?

I still think the key to McCain was identified by Gore Vidal – “that conceited twirp,” or words to that effect. When Vidal calls you conceited, you’ve achieved something.

I’m not even sure what that means. Considering Obama has a real plan, what does John have to offer?

I got this email this morning.

While Barack offered solutions, John McCain went before the nation to continue lying about Barack and to offer more of the same disastrous George Bush policies that got us here. The Washington Post even said, “On Economy, Obama Offers Ideas, McCain Blames Rival.”

Here are some key elements of Barack’s plan:

    • A $1,000 emergency energy rebate to help families with high fuel costs right now while putting $50 billion into job creation to get our economy back on track.
    • Families making less than $250,000 a year will get a tax cut three times larger than under John McCain’s plan and will face absolutely no tax increases.
    • While John McCain has voted against raising the minimum wage 19 times, Barack would raise the minimum wage and set it to rise automatically with inflation.
    • Invest $15 billion a year in green energy research to reduce our economy’s dependence on foreign oil and create 5 million American jobs a year.

There’s a big difference between the change we need and the Bush-McCain politics we need to leave behind.

    Couldn’t agree more.
