When Carl Rove and Bill O’Rielly say the ads have gone to far…the ads have GONE WAY TOO FAR!

  2. Sean D. Martin says:

McCain has said things “that are beyond the 100% true test.”

God, even when telling the truth Rove is pathologically incapable of actually doing it simply.

  3. DonBoy says:

John Phillips (of The Mamas and The Papas) said that he realized he was overdoing the drugs when Keith Richards told him he should cut back.

  4. ckmunson says:

“a step beyond the 100% truth test” is that some sort of code word for LIE?

  5. midderpidge says:

How dare he! McCain was a POW. His perception of reality was probably affected.

  6. Leota2 says:

    Uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . . .
    Aren’t those Karl’s ads?

  7. jr says:

    Lying is the new patriotism

    jr, you have a gift.

Though I like the irony of Rove calling McCain out on his lies, I still think Rove should be ignored and shunned until he’s behind bars.

Karl Rove’s job was to say that McCain’s ads weren’t 100% true to only suggest that they were partially true and that there was some justification for the ads.

The McCain campaign thought it could pull Obama off his game and forced him to respond to in kind with negative ads against McCain. That way the Republicans could ignore their own conduct and hold up Obama’s negative ads and say, “See, he is a dirty rotten angry ****** after all. It was just a matter of time that he would show us his dark side and true self.”

But it didn’t happen. Obama plays his own game. Now the McCain campaign is left out there with only his negative lying ads and then the smack down — the ladies of THE VIEW told him to his face that his ads were untrue and lies and everyone knows it. Joy Behar asked McCain when was he going to return to being his old self?

It’s interesting how the dems continually slam Carl Rove, until his statements reinforce their vitriol for the republicans. I don’t care what the media says, if you connect the dots, it’s obvious that Obama’s lipstick/pig comment, which came just days after Palin scored points with her pitbulll/lipstick statement, was an ugly sexist response from Obama. Now, Obama is crying that he was misinterpreted, while the media, once again assists him in playing the victim. The deck has been so stacked in favor of Obama, whether it’s the media’s refusal to vet Obama in the first place, to giving Obama free rides with Wright, Farrakhan, Rezko, Ayers, etc.. The media, as well as shows like The View, are continuing to show extreme bias against Senator John McCain, while kissing Obama’s ass.

Lipstick on a pig? Are you serious are we still trying to get that one up and running? McCain himself yesterday after his “rally” was asked if he thinks Obama was calling Palin a pig and he said “no.” You guys will believe anything. Howard you’re the type of person who would rather believe a lie than just except the truth. And the sexist remark is just laughable, the republicans have just figured out the term sexist without even knowing the meaning. When has anyone ever been sexist toward you HOWARD? I think you guys are grasping for straws and its pathetic.

Has anyone considered that the right wing might have nominated McCain because they didn’t think he would win?
After all they created a hell of a mess and now it needs to be cleaned up.

Since they cannot fix the situation without raising taxes on the wealthy, instituting universal health care, returning equity to the middle and lower classes (that they just finished raping) and in general violating their entire platform, they probably wanted a Democrat in the white house so he could take the blame!

Since McCain was owed favors by Bush for support in recent years, they let him be the sacrifical candidate. It is apparent that he is addled and egotistical enough to want the title even though he doesn’t have a clue of how to fix the problems but I think the Neo-Cons misjudged how faithfully unquestioning and obedient the conservative base is.

They Gave him Phil Gramm, the architect of the current disaster as his economic advisor and the failed Carly Fiorina as a campaign manager to ensure he would be embarassed. These two millstones would be fatal to any campaign being examined by any voter with an ounce of awareness, but this is the loyal “Base” we are talking about and they are religously opposed to asking tough questions of their revered leaders.

To Compensate for their misjudgement, they had to do something fast!

This week Karl Rove essentially violated long standing Regan Republican standards by calling McCain in essence a liar! While he was right, he is also right wing and this can only compute if you offer that it was said to torpedo McCain because he is getting too much support!

While I cannot express without a large exponent how much prevarication it takes to get Rove to be disgusted by a political lie,it seems that he felt compelled to at least feign indignation to achieve a result.

I think if Rove calls McCain a liar there is an ulterior motive and setting up a Democrat to be the clean up man is probably their plan.

The problem they have is that this time we have a brilliant Democrat for them to contend with and when Obama wins, he stands a very good chance of exposing the Neo-Con leaders for the greedy crooks they are! When he does, the Neo Con followers will finally realize how much they were duped by these unprincipled theives.

I hope they all wake up fast so we can rebuild whats left of the American Dream!

  14. [...] Once a principle gets defended people like McCain unfortunatly begin to lie. Even Karl Rove admits that McCain is lying. The irony is that possible to speak deeply from your heart about your [...]
