So, McCain by omission admits that he’s a smelly old fish.
Well, if the lipstick sticks.
New lipstick. Same old pig.

Rovian politics: It’s about everything except McCain’s almost total agreement with Bush Republicanism. The stupider the distraction, the more they will continue to focus on it. Spouting lies (Obama’s gonna raise your taxes! Palin sold the jet on ebay, at a profit!) is strategic maneuver. Rove wants all focus on anything but McCain’s politics. Truly a smelly old fish with lipstick.
Note to McCain & Palin:
Ha-haaa, charade you are.
(Apologies to Roger Waters/Pink Floyd)
“we love our Rove flavored catnip”-cable newsies
The point that should be made is how for 5 1/2 years of his life John McCain was not allowed to manufacture a false outrage. This American hero deserves full media compliance in his honorable charade.
Obama served aces on Letterman last night – mentioned that, had he intended the metaphor to include Palin, “she would have been the lipstick.” Flattering her by calling her the cosmetic, and yet! Loving it. Now if only the American people can stand on their hind legs and vote their own interests for a change…
The more I think about it, it’s hillarious. Obama got the Republicans to say that their VP candidate is the “pig with lipstick” that Obama was talking about in his analogy. The Republicans are basically calling their candidate a “pig with lipstick” every time they demand an apology for the “alleged” pig.
The analogy that Sarah Palin wanted Americans to equate her with “A hockey mom like a pit bull with lipstick” – strong, and tough has not been replaced with Sarah Palin, Obama called her “pig with lipstick.”
Obama didn’t call her a pig but he’s got the whole United States saying Sarah Palin’s name in very close vicinity with a “pig with lipstick.”
This is brillant. This is transference at its best. Now when people think of Sarah Palin they think of a pig with lipstick and Obama didn’t say it the Republicans did.
And if this wasn’t enough. On David Letterman Obama said if he was talking about Sarah Palin she would be the lipstick and John McCain’s policies would be the pig. And there you have it. Sarah Palin all over McCain and Obama didn’t say it, he let you imagine it.
