When you set yourself up as the maverickest maverick of ethics, you better hope you are squeaky clean. Along with her lies about the bridge to nowhere, looks like Palin took money from Alaskans she didn’t need.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a ‘per diem’ allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business. The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd, has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.
Of course, this is the more of the same behavior we have seen from the same party as Ted Stevens, Don Young, and other Republican miscreants.
Oh I forgot: Shame on the Washington Post for being biased, mean, and sexist for actually vetting Sarah Palin instead of relying on the McCain campaign to just write the story for you. Naughty!
UPDATE: Apparently we now need to add the Rupert Murdoch owned Wall Street Journal to the Liberal Media listserv. Or McCain/Palin lies too much for even the WSJ to ignore.
’)
Dude, why do you hate women so much?
It’s god’s will that she be treated with kid gloves and that she be kow towed to.
I rather like to call her Porky Palin given her background. That, and because you know if she ever hears that people are calling her that she’ll blow a gasket.
Palin thought she’d be raptured before the taxpayers found out how much she spent. Cyrus Scofield cult on the march
Palin reminds me of a dumb version of Peggy Hill, without the kind heart.
Margaret Bundy would make a damn sight better politician than any Repuke. Hell, that goes TRIPLE for her husband Al!!
What the story ultimately reveals is that Palin (a) billed the state for most expenses allowed by law, including per diem when she stayed in her own home (her “duty station” was the state capitol of Juneau) in Wasilla; (b) didn’t bill the state for other expenses, when she could have done so lawfully, such as per diems for her children; and (c) spent a lot less money on expenses than did her predecessor, especially on travel and by ridding herself of the state’s personal chef. [FWIW, she apparently maintained two residences, the governor's mansion in Juneau, where assumedly she didn't get a per diem (but where her predecessor had a personal chef), and Wasilla, from which she commuted to Anchorage for work when the legislature wasn't in session. Saintly to take the per diem when in the second residence? No. Worthy of the lead headline on Washingtonpost.com? Please! Not illegal, not unethical, and not a scandal.]
The Post doesn’t do the math for us, but the total per diem claimed was $16,951 divided divided by 312 days, or $54.33 per day (the per diem is $60, so there were some partial days).
Why wouldn’t someone claim an expense that’s supposed to be part of the job?
She seems to be spending less than the expense of living with a chef in the governor’s mansion in juneau. Seems like a savings to me not even counting the $350k reduction in travel expenses.
Middle America doesn’t get paid by the government to stay at home. Nor should the former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. Not unexpected that cons would defend it though. After all, graft IOKYAR.
“Not illegal, not unethical, and not a scandal.”
I can practically guarantee if she was a Democrat, this would be a massive scandal.
Really CSS? I haven’t seen the WaPo even attempt to investigate Biden’s per diems (Those daily Amtrak trips ain’t cheap!). Why are only Palin’s expenses scrutinized?
Frank Murkowski billed the state $463,000 for travel expenses in 2006.
Palin only billed them for $93,000.
And if a Democrat did the same thing, I’d be lauding their financial discipline.
Good point. We need to scrutinize all expense reports and “fact-finding” trips made by Senators Obama and Biden. Because, you know, middle America doesn’t get paid vacations (disguised as ‘working trips’) paid for by the government.
Does Joe Biden bill the government for his daily roundtrip to Delaware? I don’t think Middle America gets their commuting costs paid for by the government.
Seriously, this is what the MSM and the left are down to? Are they next going to be reviewing her phone bills and criticizing her for paying too much for her long-distance service?
Oh look… Obama’s spiritual mentor and pastor of 20 years Jeremiah Wright is back in the news.
Now that’s a relationship that middle America would be interested in learning more about. “God Damn America” indeed.
The Post doesn’t do the math for us, but the total per diem claimed was $16,951 divided divided by 312 days, or $54.33 per day (the per diem is $60, so there were some partial days).
So, basically, you’re arguing that Palin should be admired for only stealing a LITTLE of the taxpayers’ money?
Does Joe Biden bill the government for his daily roundtrip to Delaware? I don’t think Middle America gets their commuting costs paid for by the government.
Pretending, for a moment, that I am ALSO retarded and like you seem to believe that using taxpayer money for my own home expenses is actually the same as using taxpayer money to do my job as an elected representative of said taxpayers, are you concluding then that Biden should have moved his family in Delaware, including his hospitalized sons, to Washington? That sounds eerily similar to suggesting that a recent mother shouldn’t be vice-president because she has to take care of HER children. But of course, that would be evil liberal vile offensive John McCain was a POW.
That Journal piece was a surprisingly good read. Always good to see a reporter go beyond ‘the campaign says’ to ‘the campaign said it, we checked it and it’s bunk.’
We need to scrutinize all expense reports and “fact-finding” trips made by Senators Obama and Biden.
I agree. Leave no stone unturned, especially when your candidate’s media-shy, but certainly it’s a good general rule.
Can I have a no interest loan like Rangel? Not a lot of “reporting” done on that deal.
P.S. Biden is a racist and Barry’s brother lives in a hut in Kenya on 12 dollars a year. O-Man is his brothers keeper.
Now, now everyone. Just because Governor Palin makes $125,000 per year plus another $60,000 for expenses doesn’t even come close to qaulifying as “rich”.
using taxpayer money for my own home expenses is actually the same as using taxpayer money to do my job as an elected representative of said taxpayers,
Apparently, you have difficulty grasping the concept that Palin accepting per diem for the days the legislature is in session, so that she can keep her family in Wasilla instead of moving them to Juneau, is the same as Biden accepting per diem to commute from Delaware, so that he doesn’t have to move his sons to DC.
Do you even understand what per diem is or how and why companies (or the government) apply it?
Pretending, for a moment, that I am ALSO retarded
No pretending is necessary.
Just because Governor Palin
“Governer Palin”? Don’t you mean Trollop C!@#t, PD?
“Really CSS? I haven’t seen the WaPo even attempt to investigate Biden’s per diems (Those daily Amtrak trips ain’t cheap!). Why are only Palin’s expenses scrutinized?”
You really have no idea what the problem is, do you? You really are that fucking stupid, aren’t you?
So, basically, you’re arguing that Palin should be admired for only stealing a LITTLE of the taxpayers’ money?
Right. Stealing even though the law specifically allows the Governor to accept a per diem as she did.
Do you even understand what per diem is
No. He doesn’t. It’s what happens when you have a permanent affliction of stupidity.
“Barry’s brother lives in a hut in Kenya on 12 dollars a year. ”
And in relative terms, how are Cindy McCain’s siblings living? You know, the one’s she said she didn’t have and made sure were not in Daddy Warbuck’s will?
“P.S. Biden is a racist and Barry’s brother lives in a hut in Kenya on 12 dollars a year. O-Man is his brothers keeper.”
To be fair, it’s actually his half-brother that you’re referencing.
I don’t think Obama has any obligation to assist him any more than anybody has any financial obligation to help their brother. There’s a back story we’re not aware of on that and it would be unfair to use that as an albatross around Obama’s neck
““Governer Palin”? Don’t you mean Trollop C!@#t, PD?
You don’t pay attention too much, do you, So-cal?
(b) didn’t bill the state for other expenses, when she could have done so lawfully, such as per diems for her children;
I’ve heard of politicians putting their spouses on the payroll, but never their minor children. How does that work?
and (c) spent a lot less money on expenses than did her predecessor, especially on travel and by ridding herself of the state’s personal chef.
She didn’t rid herself of the chef. She got reassigned. No savings there, but another fib.
You don’t pay attention too much, do you, So-cal?
You like to pass off rumors as fact, don’t you PD?
The basis for this story is “Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity”, and as the story noted:
By these journalistic standards, we can take everything in Jerome Corsi’s “The Obama Nation as absolute fact, can’t we?
And even if it had been true, it would have been McCain talking to his wife. You’re the one calling Sarah Palin a Trollop and a C–t.
Oh, I know you think you’re being witty and all, but that still makes you an asshole. Hate women much, PD?
And even if it had been true, it would have been McCain talking to his wife.
So, see, that makes it okay.
You’re the one calling Sarah Palin a Trollop and a C–t.
Wow. Sadly, no, Dave.
I’ve heard of politicians putting their spouses on the payroll, but never their minor children. How does that work?
They’re not on the payroll.
She didn’t rid herself of the chef. She got reassigned. No savings there, but another fib.
Frank Murkowski and Tony Knowles both used chef Stefani Marnon year round as their personal chef whereas now Marnon is only working at the legislature when it is in session and a chef is really needed. As such, the state saved tens of thousands of dollars in salary and benefits. So there is savings and it wasn’t a fib. Try reading a little more instead of just regurgitating DNC talking points. Also, nowhere did she say she “fired” the chef. She says that a “personal chef” was no longer needed.
There’s that desperation smell again…..
Right. Stealing even though the law specifically allows the Governor to accept a per diem as she did.
The law also specifically allows the governor to accept earmarks from Congress. Palin is presenting herself as a mavericky reformer who doesn’t waste the people’s money. Yet she claims daily living expense reimbursements for staying in her own house?
Awesome!
I’ve heard of politicians putting their spouses on the payroll, but never their minor children. How does that work?
They’re not on the payroll.
Then why did they get a per diem?
Also, nowhere did she say she “fired” the chef.
Really? Somebody better tell The Zero:
As such, the state saved tens of thousands of dollars in salary and benefits.
New Democratic Spin: Governor Palin got rid of high-paying jobs and replaced them with low-cost part-time workers.
Somebody should tell John Fund at the WSJ:
“Oh, I know you think you’re being witty and all, but that still makes you an asshole. Hate women much, PD?
Ditch the pearls and fainting couch, you gynophobic basement-dwelling oxygen thief. Don’t like whats being said here? Ever get the idea you’re not going to change anyone else’s mind here? Then go infect a blog thats suited to your patently ignorant ravings and steaming logs of non-sequiturial stupid, where small men and internet tough guys who think AM radio show hosts are deep-thinkers.
Now that’s a relationship that middle America would be interested in learning more about. “God Damn America” indeed.
“God Damn America” indeed.
Dave, why do you hate America so much?
The law also specifically allows the governor to accept earmarks from Congress. Palin is presenting herself as a mavericky reformer who doesn’t waste the people’s money. Yet she claims daily living expense reimbursements for staying in her own house?
Right, she cuts that spending EIGHTY PERCENT from the previous administration, but to you people, it’s ’stealing.’ Absolutely pathetic.
Right, she cuts that spending EIGHTY PERCENT from the previous administration, but to you people, it’s ’stealing.’ Absolutely pathetic.
Charge the taxpayers $54 a day to live at home?!? The purpose of a lodging per diem is to reimburse a government employee for out-of-pocket expenses, not to provide an in-the-pocket bonus.
Mavericky!
SaveFarris: Really CSS? I haven’t seen the WaPo even attempt to investigate Biden’s per diems (Those daily Amtrak trips ain’t cheap!). Why are only Palin’s expenses scrutinized?
You think Biden’s haven’t been? I can’t imagine that the mcCain camp hasn’t already looked for anything they can ding Biden for. If there were any hay to make there, that the McCain camp wouldn’t have blasted it all over the news.
Ever consider that maybe there just isn’t any there there?
Jay: …now Marnon is only working at the legislature when it is in session and a chef is really needed.
Needed? There are no restaurants near the Capitol building in Juneau for the poor legislators to go to? No nearby deli or McDonald’s available to cook their food?
So Gov Palin has profited from being involved in government?
What a novel idea!
Nobody else better try that, or I will vote for an incorruptible , poor but honest Democrat…
Oh, wait! …
Years from now, this whole Era in Congressional History might be described as the Post Roosevelt Era : When the rich got richer, by assailing “The Rich” for getting richer
Charge the taxpayers $54 a day to live at home?!?
She didn’t charge the taxpayers to “live at home.” It was not a ‘lodging’ per diem Quaker. It was a per diem to cover meals and incidental expenses doing state business while she happened to SLEEP at home. Did you even read the story and look at the graphics?
Needed? There are no restaurants near the Capitol building in Juneau for the poor legislators to go to? No nearby deli or McDonald’s available to cook their food?
Actually, from what I read the chef is on hand to prepare meals for state events, gatherings, etc. She’s not the personal chef for members of the legislature.
Oh and here are the rules specifying the rules of the M&IE per diem:
http://fin.admin.state.ak.us/dof/ak_admin_manual/resource/60t.pdf
Whenever a traveler is in travel status and is entitled to reimbursement for lodging under both the short-term and long-term/noncommercial per diem rules, the traveler is entitled to only the M&IE allowance that applies to the location where the traveler is staying.
If a traveler maintains a dwelling at their destination and it is available to them (DING! Her home in Wasilla), they will be entitled to only an M&IE allowance for normal workdays. [DING! Which is precisely what she claimed] An M&IE allowance for other than normal workdays is not allowed.
If a traveler is temporarily returned to the traveler’s duty station (Which is the governor’s mansion in Juneau) while on a long-term assignment and is continuing to receive a long-term lodging per diem, the traveler is not entitled to any M&IE allowance while at the duty station (Which Palin never claimed).
Next.
I can’t imagine that the mcCain camp hasn’t already looked for anything they can ding Biden for. If there were any hay to make there, that the McCain camp wouldn’t have blasted it all over the news.
Oliver’s post is a reference to a story that appeared on Page 1 in the WaPo. You’re not saying that the Washington Post is a de-facto arm of the Obama campaign, are you? Are You?!?
And for the record, I’m of the opinion that
A) there’s probably nothing TRULY incriminating to be found in Biden’s per diem diaries.
B) Per diem expenses, unless outrageously flagrant, don’t really matter when it comes to picking a candidate.
Oh sure, it’d be nice to know whether Amtrak Joe is riding in coach or Acela class every night. And I’m sure that during his 30 years in Washington, he’s expensed a trip or two to Ruth’s Chris when Bennigans would have done just as well. But these are minor triffles.
And sorry, but Palin’s $50 a day doesn’t pass the “outrageously flagrant” test. A certain recent Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate spent more than that per day … on his hair!
Jay, rules aside, do you think taking at-home per diem allowances compromises the Governor’s (rather hastily manufactured, it seems to me, though I could be wrong) persona as Great and Holy Slayer of Pork and Noble Guardian of the Treasury?
Parthenon, while I can’t claim to have been watching Palin at every move, it would seem to me that she was actually doing state business in Anchorage (43 miles away) on the nights she was staying in Wasilla. Add up gas and a power lunch and $50 isn’t unreasonable.
Next.
Thanks for clearing that up, Jay. Now what did the kiddies do for that?
If a traveler maintains a dwelling at their destination and it is available to them (DING! Her home in Wasilla), they will be entitled to only an M&IE allowance for normal workdays. [DING! Which is precisely what she claimed] An M&IE allowance for other than normal workdays is not allowed.
Oh man. You’re going to defend this petty expense-account padding all the way, aren’t you?
WashPo:
She “conducts most of her business in Anchorage”? Why is that important?
And then:
So what it comes down to is this: If the state says Gov. Palin’s “primary residence” is the governors’ mansion, then she can claim the MSIE. If the state applies the definition of “where she conducts most business,” she can’t.
Either way, she’s claiming “travel expenses” while staying in her own house.
And we haven’t even gotten into what sort of “state business” her kids were performing when she charged the state for their airfare.
Jay, rules aside, do you think taking at-home per diem allowances compromises the Governor’s (rather hastily manufactured, it seems to me, though I could be wrong) persona as Great and Holy Slayer of Pork and Noble Guardian of the Treasury?
Again, these are not “at home” per diem expenses. She drove from Wasilla to Anchorage where she conducted much of her work during that time. If she were taking per diems to sit in her house all day, I could see the point, but she didn’t. From the calculations I’ve seen and I’ve done, she’s reduced such spending by that of her predecessors by something like 80%. Spending the equivalent of less than $10 for each of those 312 days per family member (remember, she could have charged per diems for each family member that accompanied her on official business but didn’t) is not something to get worked up over.
The Post has tried to turn this into a ’scandal’ where none exists.
And sorry, but Palin’s $50 a day doesn’t pass the “outrageously flagrant” test. A certain recent Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate spent more than that per day … on his hair!
Good job, Farris!
Edwards $400 out of his own pocket is just as bad as $50 (times 312) of taxpayer money into Gov. Palin’s pocket!
Travel expenses to live at home! Mavericky!
“Travel expenses to live at home!”
And here we have the misunderstanding which is at the heart of this particular issue. While she is the governor, her home is the governor’s mansion in Juneau. Alaska, like every other city, state, and federal agency, has some form of reimbursement when officials need to travel or conduct business away from home. The issues isn’t whether she was entitled to receive the per diem (she was). The issue would be why she needed to spend so much time conducting business in Anchorage instead of Juneau. Was she just milking the system by relocating her operations to another city that happened to be closer to home? Is this something which the governor of Alaska has always done? Is Anchorage, as the state’s largest city and centrally located to the population, a better place to do perform her duties?
People seem to be getting too tied up in the details of “ZOMG!!11!!!! She got money to be at home!”, when that is perfectly legal, and an issue most business travellers understand, and not asking the question of “Why the hell was she there in the first place?”
Oh man. You’re going to defend this petty expense-account padding all the way, aren’t you?
I’m only defending it against your bullshit attacks. To whit:
So what it comes down to is this: If the state says Gov. Palin’s “primary residence” is the governors’ mansion, then she can claim the MSIE. If the state applies the definition of “where she conducts most business,” she can’t.
The fact is, her “duty station” as designated by the state is the Governors Mansion in Juneau. You left that out of your little ‘bold’ argument:
If a traveler maintains multiple residences, the commissioner of the department shall designate the residence that bears the most logical relationship to the traveler’s duty station as the traveler’s primary residence.
Now, unless you have other information, the governor’s mansion has been designated as her “primary resident.”
So, going back to the MSIE rules:
If a traveler maintains a dwelling at their destination (* in this case, the destination would be Wasilla) and it is available to them (* it is), they will be entitled to only an M&IE allowance for normal workdays. [* again which is precisely what she claimed) An M&IE allowance for other than normal workdays is not allowed.
Either way, she’s claiming “travel expenses” while staying in her own house.
Once again, she is not claiming “travel expenses” and repeating it doesn’t make it true.
Guess what Quaker? I don’t get reimbursed from where I work for any of my day to day travel and any money I might spend on meals. But guess what? If one day, I am told I have to drive to Orlando to do a presentation, the meter starts running on my per mile reimbursement the moment I drive away from my house. I also get reimbursed for any meals. Do you see how that works?
She’s driving 90 miles per day back and forth to her office in Anchorage and doing work there. Perhaps she’s buying lunch and maybe dinner depending on the time. Do you understand now? She’s not pocketing cash for sitting in her house. You’re flat out lying when you’re saying she’s claiming “travel expenses” while staying at her own house. It’s either that or you just don’t have a freaking clue what you’re talking about.
Quaker, putting something in italics doesn’t make it so. He only paid for the haircuts out of pocket AFTER FIRST trying to float them through campaign expense reports.
SFC B, Anchorage has nearly 10X the population as does Juneau. Would you be just as outraged if you found out that Ed Rendell was expensing his time spent in Philadelphia?
Once again, she is not claiming “travel expenses” and repeating it doesn’t make it true.
But reading it out of the Alaska state travel guidelines that you so helpfully provided does:
I don’t get reimbursed from where I work for any of my day to day travel and any money I might spend on meals. But guess what? If one day, I am told I have to drive to Orlando to do a presentation, the meter starts running on my per mile reimbursement the moment I drive away from my house. I also get reimbursed for any meals.
How nice for you. Here’s a question: How far do you have to travel before those rules kick in? 20 miles? 40 miles?
She’s driving 90 miles per day back and forth to her office in Anchorage and doing work there.
And once again, those travel guidelines you provided prove very helpful. For Alaska state employees, anything within 50 miles is “local travel.”
Travel expenses while living at home! Awesome!
Little Piper conducting state business? Awesomer!
** Must not bang head against desk trying to get something through Quaker’s suddenly amazingly thick head **
And once again, those travel guidelines you provided prove very helpful. For Alaska state employees, anything within 50 miles is “local travel.”
And? Is this supposed to mean something?
And? Is this supposed to mean something?
Sure. Both you and Farris have cited her drive from Wasilla to Anchorage as justification for the M&IE. It’s less than 50 miles.
Now as I said above, I’ll grant you that the rules say that she’s away from her “primary residence” when she’s in Wasilla, and by that measure, she’s eligible to claim M&IE travel reimbursement.
Doesn’t change the fact that she’s in her own house, traveling less than 50 miles each way to conduct most of her state business.
Living at home. Collecting travel money. Outstanding!
Young Bristol conducting “state business”? Really outstanding!
“Would you be just as outraged”
I’m not outraged. I’m in the military. I travel frequently on orders and collect some form of per diem while away from home on military business. I have zero issues w/ any employee receiving compensation for expenses while travelling. I was simply trying to point out to those folks who seem desperate for something to hang Palin on (Quaker for instance) that you’re on the wrong track.
The per diem issue, in general, is a non-starter. Palin didn’t request reimbursement for travel (Wasilla is actually 42 miles from the government building in Anchorage) or for lodging; two entitlements for which she isn’t eligible since they’re within 50 miles of her residence in Wasilla. She requested M&IE, which according to AAM 60, para 60.250, she is was entitled to based on her primary residence being in Juneau.
So the question becomes, why did she need to spend 312 days away from the capitol when that is her nominal duty location? Were all 312 days required? How often did she claim M&IE for a day she stayed home lazing about?
Seriously Mr. Willis and his fellow travellers. Do a bit more research. The WaPo just fed y’all a nice little storyline which might be able to lead you to some petty corruption which was perfectly legal, and y’all can’t be bothered to see the forest for the trees. Who cares that she received less than the maximum allowed M&IE (she was allowed to claim up to $60 per day and only claimed an average of $55)? How was she serving the people of Alaska when she spent so much time away from the capitol and the body of government? How many times did important legislature bog down because the state’s chief executive was off tucking little Piper into bed at night and ignoring the grunting and moaning coming from Bristol’s room?
Y’all really need to do better than just throwing spaghetti against the wall and seeing what will stick since McCain has been drinking y’all milkshake for the past week and a half.
“In the past, per diem claims by Alaska state officials have carried political risks. In 1988, the head of the state Commerce Department was pilloried for collecting a per diem charge of $50 while staying in his Anchorage home, according to local news accounts. The commissioner, the late Tony Smith, resigned amid a series of controversies.
“It was quite the little scandal,” said Tony Knowles, the Democratic governor from 1994 to 2000. “I gave a direction to all my commissioners if they were ever in their house, whether it was Juneau or elsewhere, they were not to get a per diem because, clearly, it is and it looks like a scam – you pay yourself to live at home,” he said.”
Yessiree! Bestest mavricky reformer evah!
I see idjits using a microscope trying to redefine the fine print, not realizing the building they are in is on fire.
The per diem issue, in general, is a non-starter.
Fine with me. Shall we go back to talking about the claim that Gov. Palin has made some 30 separate times now–that she “told the Congress thanks, but no thanks on that Bridge to Nowhere.”
That’s just an outright lie.
As long as the governor wants to paint herself as the champion of government wastebusters, she’s vulnerable on her expenses. I’ve already admitted (twice before and again right now) that she’s technically within the rules to claim M&IE while staying in her own house. Today’s WaPo article tells of previous Alaska office holders who have dealt with the same issue and judged it “a scam” to claim per diem when you’re at home.
And still nobody can explain what kind of “state business” little Piper conducted that required the state to reimburse Mom for her airfare.
Thanks, RBDave.
When is mcCain going to let his Medusa out of the closet?
Sara! Sara! where art thou? Why do you keep saying to closed off Republican fans that you were against the Bridge to Nowhere? Even the right wing Press says you’re lying.
Let’s remember it’s McCain who is doing most of the lying. Sara’s just along for the beauty queen contest.
Republicans are still saying Obama is a Muslim and would take his pledges on a Koran.
Are you people serious? You may have forgotten but Sarah Palin is not running for president, McCain is. And despite that fact, democrats should be putting their efforts into actually finding fault in McCain’s plans not finding dirt on Palin which by the way hasn’t been anything that any politician, republican or democrat, isn’t guilty of (Surprise surprise). The attacks on Sarah Palin have been just plain ridiculus and only makes democrats scared that they just might lose.
LOLOL where would you like me to start – how about the “mental recession?”
BECAUSE Lehman Bros. just mentally collapsed AND pay no attention to the billions to bail out Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac – those are just figments of your imagination.
YOU KNOW like that house that you used to own but can’t afford because your job of 15 years laid you off AND built a shiney new factory in Mexico. all brought to you by lax government regulation and supply-side economics, which we solemnly promise to continue, because we hate protec… um er i mean regulations.
OR how about the 4 point health care plan to nowhere with nothing?
up a creek without a paddle? well never mind that we are the party that sent you there faster than any other in history AND well here’s a toothpick – happy rowing
buck up it’s just a flesh wound – just don’t bleed on me.
