   The cynic in me wants this pursued. Let the motion be denied, the facts leak about of some tawdry affair of Sarah’s. The nutjob right won’t be affected by ignorant, plutocratic policies, but they DO seem to care about sex scandals, tsk, tsk. So onward with leaked and lurid details!

   The immediate problem I have with this is that rarely do I think
   a persons marital infidelities affects their ability to do their jobs. I am always of the mind that what adults do with other adults in the privacy of whomevers bedroom , etc., is no ones business . . . . .
   Clinton was pillared about his sexual escapades and I thought it horrendous.

   But Clinton wasn’t a bible thumping, pro-life, family values screamer who has grabbed all those religious Republican’s by their ecstatic short hairs. Palin pushed her family life out at us. Downs Syndrome baby, pregnant teen daughter,
   Iraq bound son. She made her family life and her religious life a big issue, (and there was nothing wrong with that) until she started accusing bloggers and Democrats of attacking her family if they asked ANY question about her– but her campaign can’t come up with even one instance of how she was attacked.

   Let’s face it somebody had to ask her something. McCain and the MSM wasn’t.

   So now there is the possibility that Annie Oakley, Mother Theresa, and Honest Abe all rolled into one may have been doing her husband’s ex- business partner.
   I say let the truth rain out.

   If it’s true— she has nothing to worry about. The Republican base are a bunch of hypocrites, John McCain has been there before and FOX will just say that it’s a family matter that has no bearing on the country–you know– like John Edwards who at the time was a private citizens, whose affair, FOX ran with 24/7.

   Let’s face it, for Palin it would have to be live girl, dead boy to make an impact on the Republicans.

   True or not, Ms. Palin’s private life is not interesting to me.

   However, watching the right twist itself into the ground to explain why private behavior between consenting adults has no place in politics….priceless!

    People joke about the National Enquirer. They should joke about the subject matter, but within their garish white-trash field (am socioeconomically entitled to use that term) they are better on the mechanics of sourcing and documenting their reports than many mainstream dailies.

    I wonder if that may be because tabloids like the Enquirer, due to the celeb gossip nature of much of what they print, are more likely to be sued and therefore more likely to check their facts?

    I’m absolutely all for a free press. But that also requires it be a responsible one. I wonder how much better the “MSM” would be at actually providing news instead of echoing press released talking points if they were more serious threats (i.e., getting sued) when they failed to do their jobs.

    I knew this . . . .Obama is a politician, not a social worker. At least–I didn’t think he was.

    I guess that means if you want to run for political office you need to
    be clean . . . . You know–how the MSM thought Obama wasn’t and bitch slapped HIM around for Wright’s mouth and calling him and his wife terrorists because he sat on a board with Ayers–yadda yadda yadda . . .

    I guess using your political savvy (something you seem to have no problem with for the Republicans) just don’t sit right for some if your name is Obama . . .

    Well, Quaker, after literally years and years of being told that Karl Rove is behind everything bad that happens to the left, you start to wonder if there’s a counterpart of Rove on the Democrats’ side. And maybe you don’t think it the first time it happens (Blair Hull) or the second (Jack Ryan), but by the third time you start wondering — maybe Obama isn’t behind it directly, but his friends and supporters just might be looking to repeat past successes (Palin’s husband’s former business partner’s divorce)…

    And nobody’s saying that it is some grand conspiracy, but just askin’ questions… nothing wrong with just askin’ questions, is there?

    Except Karl Rove is a real person. The people on the left can point to him in a crowd as say, “See he exists.’ We can then judge him based on he words.

    On the other hand, you have no such man. You have nothing concrete to point to.
