Now they are saying it wasn’t a mistake, but the night it happened, someone admitted it was a mistake.

If the media focuses on this as much as they did on Edwards’ haircut, McCain’s campaign would be sunk.

You really shouldn’t say stuff like that. It just makes it hurt worse when you lose elections.

Sort of like Gore and Kerry….against that big dummy bush…who cleaned the democrats clocks twice.

But that would beg the question: How could a big dummy like bush and his county fair organizers steal and election from the mental giants that are the Democrat Party?

Exactly. Pageantry matters to them, the real world practical outcome doesn’t. Facts don’t matter; what matters is how can you sell the public on your pre-determined outcome.

The wrong Walter Reed photo highlights the phenomenon that the McCain minions view their jobs primarily as propagandists. There is little effort to get it right when the whole point is to just go after the votes of the ill-informed. “Barack Obama is going to raise your taxes” is all they say, leaving out the other part: “. . . if you are making more than a quarter million per year.” They take it for granted that enough voters are not savvy enough to be aware that this excludes 95% of the people.

One of the “legitimate things to take McCain…to task for” is incompetence.

In this case, his own people ilustrated that theme for us, and we would be remiss if we did not point and roll on the floor laughing and make sure that everyone knows about this, just the most recent embarrasing blunder. I think we’re up to one every day now.

Jon Stewart will certainly hit this one out of the park.

Now the principal of the school is hammering McCain for using footage of the school during his convention speech without seeking the school’s permission.

Hammering?

“It has been brought to the school’s attention that a picture of the front of our school, Walter Reed Middle School, was used as a backdrop at the Republican National Convention. Permission to use the front of our school for the Republican National Convention was not given by our school nor is the use of our school’s picture an endorsement of any political party or view.”

Seems to be a pretty generic “The views expressed by commenters on this DVD do not necessarily represent the views of the movie studio” -type disclaimer. The principal is not “hammering” the RNC. He’s not giving any opinion on whether using the school as a backdrop was bad or OK. he’s just saying it was done w/o permission and should not be taken as an endorsement.

Seriously, I don’t get why folks fell it necessary to stoop to this shit when there are so many more legitimate things to take McCain et al to task for.
