Frankly, yes I’m threatened.

I worry that if McCain wins (though I’m betting that he won’t) that he could die and Palin could be our next president. That is a terrifying thought.

I worry that women will lose the freedom of choice and control over their bodies.

I worry that Palin won’t heed the warning of our environmental destruction (she doesn’t believe in global warming) and that we will continue on our path to destroying this planet.

I worry that, like GWB, she will enter us into war because she believes that war is “a task from God,” she believes that war is “God’s plan.”

I worry that this country will never have a health care system that serves all Americans.

I worry about these things, I care about these things, because I happen to love my freedoms and this country. You’re not worried?

She’s gonna look real good in comparison to McCain who will probably shuffle around croaking “my firends…”. Kind of throws away the ‘ugly bridesmaid’ strategy of having Thompson, Lieberman and Guilliani speaking.

Apples & oranges?
I can see Obama’s call for unity as American as apple pie. But comparing Palin’s lies to it (or to oranges) is just wrong.

Smearing? Hardly. You must understand our horror of McCain, trigger-happy and willing to compromise his every belief and “maverick” conviction to get the nomination. And now this, which reconfirms his cynicism, a sop to the evangelicals and anti-choice front, never mind qualifications to take over if he doesn’t last 4 years.

All we do is list her appalling beliefs and past associations, and it adds to our alarm:

creationism as an alternative theory to evolution
no abortion even in cases or rape or incest
Alaska secessionist movement
no foreign policy experience
no foreign travel
lying about her support of bridge-to-nowhere
troopergate verdict still pending
abstinence as means of teen birth control
librarygate – did she try to ban books?

Q: Which one of these questions qualifies as a “smear?”
