I AM A VETERAN OF BOTH IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN WARS. I THINK ALL WE CAN DO FOR THIS ELECTION IS TRY TO PICK THE LESSER OF 2 EVILS. UNFORTUNATLY NO MATTER WHICH ONE WINS, WE'RE ELECTING AN EVIL

I hate to break it to you, but anyone who actually paid money and wasted their time watching a Rocky movie after the 1st is a complete moron.

Say a guy named after a manga character ...

And, BTW, the name calling is SO relevant !

Glad to see some things never change ...

And your inability to recognize sarcasm is at once pathetic and refreshing...

Dude , you are, like, so inept!

I hope the 38 million people that watched McCain's speech were the same 38 million that watched Obama. I'd like to think our electorate is that discerning.
If it was the same 38 million. it will be Obama in a freaking tsunami, dude!

The look in Bambi’s eyes today is like Dolph Lundgren’s in Rocky IV, after Sly Stallone first bloodies Ivan Drago, and the noble, indestructible Russian thinks: O my Gaia, I could lose this thing.

Frankie, I hate to break it to you, but anyone who actually paid money and wasted their time watching a Rocky movie after the 1st is a complete moron.

You’ve really convinced yourself of that, haven’t you? That they’re all just secret McCain supporters.

Yup, and I have no reasons why I should believe your POV.

Come November, I guess we’ll see whether you were right. ‘Cause if you’re wrong… Ouch! It’s gonna sting.

Yup, America is really going to hurt there.

We’re all racists, and would never vote for an almost black candidate, right?

Speak for yourself.

Hey Dave, how come there RNC didn’t feature 80,000 People waving the Flag on its final day? I think we need to ask, why do Republicans hate the Flag, is John McCain the only Republican who even cares about America?

And why wasn't McCain wearing a lapel pin during his speech? Why does he hate patriotism so much?

"Across all broadcast networks Thursday, Sen. McCain’s speech ended the night with a 4.8 rating/7 share, compared to Sen. Obama’s 4.3/7 average, according to overnight numbers from metered households in 55 U.S. markets measured by Nielsen."

Uh - maybe that Giants-Redskins game and post-game show pulled away some viewers. Just a thought?

"Palin has a 58% favorable rating"

Again, when was the last time an election was won based on who was running for veep?

I get it. I've seen a lot of American elections and I get how the Republican campaigns work now.

It doesn't matter how good your candidate actually is. Hell, nothing about your candidate matters at all, their name, their history, their policies (should they bother to state any). If there's a detail you can use as a backdrop, like "OMG HE WAS A POW", that's a bonus. But it doesn't actually matter.

All that really matters is that the other guy SUCKS. Who cares what kind of a President McCain will make? At least he's not Obama! That guy SUCKS!

Remember in previous elections, when the Dems lost, they tried to out-Republican the Republicans? They played the Republican game, let the Republicans set the rules. This time is different. Notice how politicians everywhere are trying to out-Obama Obama? All this talk of change, a shunning of "politics as usual" (which is a quote from Palin, though it is a phrase coined by Obama).

They know that they are losing so they are trying to capitalize on some of Obama's strengths. They are trying to sound new, bold, progressive and independent. Problem is, no one (I say, NO ONE!)can out-Obama Obama.

In this case, low-key and informative was the way to go.

I got the low-key part, especially how "Warshington" has performed.

Informative? Not so much. The only thing of substance I heard were the things he was making up about his opponent.

Look, the man didn't say anything he had done or will do for Americana.

How many times do we have to go back 40 years and relive the POW story with him. I honor his service so can we give him a Congress Medal of Honor or Freedom as the Best American POW and he can show the medal and not tell the story again.

I don't want to hear the POW while millions of Americans are losing their homes and financially are going under.
