In the extreme top left is a black man (face mostly out of frame,) and next to him is a man of mixed race.

Jesus, I have to get some work done.

  2. Yeah, when you have to play where’s waldo that equals epic fail.

  3. somejackass says:

I spy at least 5 women.

  4. ally says:

I only see 2 women standing the back… where they should be. I do see some men who kinda look like women though

  5. C.S.Strowbridge says:

So there’s a black man, a possible mixed race person, and five women.

Out of what? 100 people? 93% White & Male is not diversity.

On the other hand, I read that this year’s Democratic convention was their most diverse, but the GOP actually went back from previous years.

  6. Paddy says:

I found one black woman and the “daughter who must not be seen”.

  7. Julie says:

Could that possibly be a black man at the bottom of the screenshot just to the left of the “LIVE” icon? You can only see the top of his head.

  8. versus says:

    i see waldo

  9. Quaker in a Basement says:

    I see several “f***ing rednecks.”

  10. Boofoo says:

Wow, that guy over on the right is hot!

  11. Duros Hussein 62 says:

I was gonna try a drinking game where you take a shot every time you see a black person, but then I figured you’d just end up sober and sad.

Compared to the Dem convention, it just looks like a flea market in there.

  12. Southern Quaker says:

c’mon Oliver, I see plenty of diversity in this picture. Let’s see, there’s the red baseball cap and the black baseball cap and the white baseball cap, and at least five cowboy hats… plus polo shirts and golf shirts and a few suits …

  13. Nimrod Gently says:

    Almost no-one under 50 either.

  14. buma says:

My world view of Republicaners is still mostly intact, but where are the purple heart band-aids?

  15. PD100 says:

    “Base” yet again redefined.

  16. juhar says:

Whar is the point of this lack of diversity at the GOP convention? No one is expecting diversity at the GOP convention.

There are some Republicans at this GOP convention. Count them, tell us how many there are and let’s move away for this distraction.

  17. jr says:

Republicans are in touch with their inner stormfront poster child

  18. j mccann says:

    Yeah, good observation.

Too bad more minorites aren’t for capitalism and lower taxes. Then maybe they’d have the sense to vote republican instead of for a socialist like Obama. Remember, it’s all about “what can Barack get me for free,” and that goes for the horribly ignorant white Obama supporters too.

  19. essrog says:

A good example of skilled, seamless use of the clone tool in Photoshop. Wow, this almost had me fooled, it looks so real

  20. z_adura says:

    Hey mccann, you ignorant slut.

The socialists aparently actually live in Alaska and Arizona where they get more in Federal spending than they pay in Federal receipts rather than the Blue staters who end up having to pay for them.

  21. Parthenon says:

Always entertaining when the conservative media wants an African-American for a program. I rather hope Michael Steele and J.C. Watts are paid for their appearances; if so I imagine they’re set for life.

  22. Parthenon says:

Too bad more minorites aren’t for capitalism and lower taxes.

    Evidence for this would be…?

  23. Nimrod Gently says:

God damn it, do not ever use the term “socialist” unless you know what it means.

  24. KXB says:

“Too bad more minorites aren’t for capitalism and lower taxes.”

For a long time, neither were most whites. Slavery means you do not have to pay for the labor you use, and for the first century of the country’s existence, many people seemed quite content with such a rejection of capitalism. This was followed by Jim Crow, which put into place labor market restrictions that no true lover of capitalism would want to observe. If it is my company, why should the government tell me I can’t hire blacks if they can do the job.

As for taxes, Bush has not exactly been eager to cut the most onerous of all taxes – the payroll tax.

  25. Duros Hussein 62 says:

    Yeah, good observation.

    You’re still here?

  26. j mccann says:

“Too bad more minorites aren’t for capitalism and lower taxes.”

    “Evidence for this would be…?”

Uh…..lemme see here….perhaps voting overwhelmingly for a socialist (obama) that has promised to raise taxes more than anyone in the history of this country.

This is what happens when you teach people that government is supposed to take care of them. It turns into a “who be givin me sum free shiznit boyeeee dats who I beez votin fo’ holla” kind of society.

Congratulations. You’ve pretty much achieved with certain demographics

    Holla.

    LMAO!!!!!

  27. KXB says:

“This is what happens when you teach people that government is supposed to take care of them.”

I’m sure you’ve shared your concern about government handouts with the folks of Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, right?

  28. PD100 says:

“This is what happens when you teach people that government is supposed to take care of them. It turns into a “who be givin me sum free shiznit boyeeee dats who I beez votin fo’ holla” kind of society.”

Holy fuck, thats got to be single most concentrated sample of banjo-plucking wingnuttery I’ve read in a long while.

It’s only confusing until you remember that McCann is a true American, while everyone else who’s ever sapped this great nation of its resources via taxpayer funded entitlement programs (libraries, law enforcement, national defense, bank bailouts) are perpetually ignorant and needy socialists. After that it starts making sense.

  29. Quaker in a Basement says:

But it would be unfair to call mccann racist.

So I’ll just call him a dumbass peckerwood.

  30. j mccann says:

To hell with bear stearns, freddie mac, and the whole lot of them. None of those fools should have been bailed out, for the record. They got greedy and gave mortgages to people who were stupid enough to take them when they couldn’t afford them, and it blew up in their faces.

Tough shit. That’s what I say. Let’em go bankrupt, and let the fools live in apartments. That’s where the vast majority of the should have been living in the first place.

    And quaker….

You still ignore the fact that most minorities support higher taxes and more government programs, which is more socialist in leaning. What I said originally holds true. If not, explain that one to me. If over 9 out of 10 black people are supporting a guy who is going to raise taxes more than any president in history, it CERTAINLY holds true with that particular demographic.

    Tell me where I’m wrong.

    Holla beeeeeeyotch.

I can’t do that, mccann. I can’t tell you where you’re wrong because all that stuff exists only in your head–a place too frightening for me to even imagine, much less explain to you.

You’re making one baseless, bigoted assumption after another. I don’t have the inclination to educate you.

  32. White Whale says:

    J McCann,
I would love to see evidence to support that Obama will raise taxes more than any president in HISTORY!(mhuhaha). Oh and drop your lame attempt at ebonics or sounding hip. If your personality is more Rovian than stick to it and never venture to more current venacular. I think I heard this at a Comedy Central Roast: “I couldn’t cringe harder if I saw one of my relatives in a bukaki video”.

  33. duh says:

How diverse is a group of people who vote 90% for one candidate?

What would you call a group of white voters who voted 90% for a white guy?

    Questions swirl…..

  34. KXB says:

“To hell with bear stearns, freddie mac, and the whole lot of them. None of those fools should have been bailed out, for the record. They got greedy and gave mortgages to people who were stupid enough to take them when they couldn’t afford them, and it blew up in their faces.”

Gee – like that faux outrage is really going to prevent Bush and other Republicans from bailing them out.

“What would you call a group of white voters who voted 90% for a white guy?”

Well, consider that 90% of black voters vote for the Democratic candidate, period. Kerry and Gore got over 90% of the black vote, and last I checked, they ain’t black.

  35. Quaker in a Basement says:

What would you call a group of white voters who voted 90% for a white guy?

    Republicans.

  36. Colorado Dave says:

    What a bunch of Crackers.

  37. Mary Wallace says:

I see OLD WHITE DUDES. Yikes, its same-old, same-old, but they don’t realize the world has ALREADY passed them by.
