She grilled him. Of course, it would be refreshing to see that same kind of grilling of Barack Obama. Unfortunately, too many of our ‘independent’ journalists can’t get Obama’s dick out of their mouths long enough to ask him a tough question.
Dear God you people whine.
Yeah, we whine Ringo. For the last year or so we’ve had to endure a flow of tears from the left that would cause a tsunami complaining about the media grabbing an example here or there and claiming it proved “conservative bias” in the press. The media’s behavior since Friday is a complete repudiation of that nonsense.
Anderson Cooper’s interview with Barack Obama on CNN was PATHETIC. He would have been better off just saying, “Senator, say whatever you want. Let me know when you’re done so I can get off my knees.” It was disgraceful. For crying out loud, Obama was trying to say that running for President gives him the experience to be President and Anderson didn’t challenge such idiocy or even follow up.
Please. Somebody show me ONE interview where a reporter was as tough on an Obama surrogate about his total lack of experience to be President.
Just one.
RUN JOHN RUN!
Under no circumstances should we be personally attacking Sarah Palin. She is 100% allowed to be who she is – it’s not her fault that she’s been picked – it’s McCain’s.
She may have abused power in “Troopergate”
She fired a Police Chief and Librarian for not supporting her. The librarian was rehired the P.C. settled out of court.
She didn’t teach her daughter about birth control (and if President would not want your daughter taught).
She’s anti-choice even in the cases of rape and incest.
She was a member of an Alaskan separatist party. The leader of which said: “The fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American Government.”
She asked her librarian, “How do you ban books.”
Etc. etc.
What all the above proves is how totally unfit for office John McCain is for selecting someone so obviously flawed. We do not need a President who does not think things through.
The REALITY of John’s campaign is clear and straightforward:
I, John McCain am not fit to lead this great nation.
OMFG HE CALLS NIMROD RINGO BECAUSE HES FROM ENGLAND AND THATS WHERE RINGO IS FROM THATS SO FCKN CLEVER U R SO COOL J
Oh, boo hoo hoo, Jay.
Welcome to our experience for the last 16 years.
Welcome to our experience for the last 16 years.
I’m from planet Earth so I don’t know what you’re talking about.
No, you’re from Planet Fox, where you only see and hear what you want to.
If he is afraid to talk with CNN how can he face down Al Qaeda?
She grilled him.
Not very hard. She asked him to provide a SINGLE EXAMPLE to illustrate why he claimed that Palin had military leadership experience It was an obvious question, one where he should have had an answer written in his loose leaf binder waiting for it to be asked.
And he blustered and misdirected, and tried to change the question, but the interviewer kept asking it, until she started asking why he didn’t answer it.
It was beautiful. I love the smell of wingnut brain cells burning in the morning. Smells like…AHHH!
Victory.
“For crying out loud, Obama was trying to say that running for President gives him the experience to be President and Anderson didn’t challenge such idiocy or even follow up.”
Jay, this sounds suspiciously like your laying the ground work for a whole heaping pile of post election excuses for why McCain lost. No doubt we’ll be hearing on Nov 5 that Obama won because the media went easy on him while poor John McCain was an American hero who was scourged by the press just because he loved his country too much. It’s all just so unfair, boo hoo. I feel your pain.
Back in the real world, it’s long been one of those conventional wisdom things that how a candidate manages their campaign can be read as a reflection of how they would handle their responsibilities as president. It’s one of the excuses the news media regularly uses to justify its horse race-style coverage instead of simply reporting on the issues, which is probably why Cooper didn’t take any issue with it.
Of course, since the McCain campaign has just announced that this election is not about issues I don’t know what you have to complain about:
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/mccain_manager_this_election_i.html?hpid=topnews
I’ll be sure to bring this back up when you start whining that McCain would have won if the media had only focussed on the issues like McCain wanted all along!
Seems to me, not so long ago, Jay, you worked yourself in to a huff about how this election was going to be ALL about issues because that’s the kind of guy McCain is. Well, apparently not, Jay. Good call.
“I’m from planet Earth so I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
No, Jay, you don’t know what we are talking about because you are fucking stupid.
This ‘grilling’ you are complaining about was asking for one example. Just one.
This is clearly a case of your bias getting in the way of objective reality.
Campbell should be like that all the time. Her ratings in the 25-54 demo would skyrocket
When did Republicans like Jay turn into such stark raving pussies?
