Palin vs. Mahmoud

Something to think about.

Angry Johnny

One world leader accuses him of being deceptive and the nukes go flying, America. Oh, also, he was a POW.

What a ridiculous man for a major political party to have nominated. But then, its no coincidence that he’s from the same lineage as George W. Bush and Richard Nixon.

Former McCain Mansion Up For Sale For $4.25 Million

They’re not like us

You can only tour the place by appointment, but here’s the description of the home at 7110 N. Central Avenue:

‘This gracious, private residence is gated and secure on a sprawling 2.7 acre estate lot. The home features 15,000 sq. ft., 13 bedrooms, 14.5 baths and 7 car garage. Extensively enlarged and remodeled in Old World design. This home is perfect for a private residence or corporate retreat.’

9/30/08 ABC/Washington Post Post-Debate Poll

Obama, 50-46, this is the one that had him +9 before McCain’s meltdown so its falling back in line with the other polls. And while he’s increasingly irrelevant – Bush continues to suck…

Bush’s approval rating has now dropped to an all-time-low in Post-ABC News polls, with just 26 percent giving him positive marks for his performance and 70 percent giving him negative reviews.

More Conservative Fail: NBC Jeff Zucker Didn’t Make Obama Kids Video

I’ll concede the video is corny (like Hillary for 4 U And Me) but conservatives have been pushing all day that the video was produced by NBC’s Jeff Zucker. They didn’t actually check, like they always do they just went with it… so of course it isn’t true.

T.O. Meltdown Watch: Gimme The Damn Ball, Tony!

The spoiled one had a deep conversation with Tony Romo. What T.O. isn’t acknowledging is that the Redskins defense shut his butt down for most of the first half of the game. The Cowboys tried to get the ball to him, but he just wasn’t good enough to make it happen.

Sarah Palin Effectively Endorses Obama

She discusses new energy and new ideas versus an older candidate. Gold. (via)

Oh yeah, she also lied again to inflate her resume.

Gov. Sarah Palin cites vigilance against Russian warplanes coming into U.S. airspace over Alaska as one of her foreign policy credentials. But the U.S. military command in charge says that hasn’t happened in her 21 months in office.

More McDrama?

McCain is now running around muttering that inaction is not an option, which leads me to believe we’re going to get another episode of him acting out. His poll numbers are even worse than before the last round of erratic behavior – so expect the worst.

McCain Collapse?

Well, at least in the Diaego/Hotline battleground polls…

Among registered voters surveyed in Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin and Nevada, Obama tops McCain 50 to 40%. Just a week ago, Obama led 45% to 42%.

Obama has moved up to 51% in Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll.

That’s not to say it couldn’t have somehow worked, but Zucker is a poor marksman and his shotgun approach winds up shooting himself instead of making a point.”
Conservative humor will work when conservatives quit trying to shove GOP talking points down your throat and go for the funny first.

We’re at the phase of the election where Glenn Reynolds apparently just makes stuff up. Although it frankly always feels like we’re at that phase.

McCain Camp Looks For Palin Do-Over

Senator McCain is 25 years older than Sen. Obama, but they are the ones engaging in school yard tactics. Now they want a do-over for the introduction of Sarah Palin after McCain’s failed time out last week.

One brilliant idea is to put her on Rush Limbaugh’s show. But Limbaugh’s show is largely comprised of those who drink the con kool-aid and an appearance there is unlikely to turn back the tide of failure her nomination has been so far. She already played pattycake with the cable version of Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and it hasn’t helped.

The Cuba Gap

If a Democrat is trending positively in this region of Florida, it is not good news for the GOP ticket. Diaz-Balart is a well known factor down there (his brother used to be an anchor on the local NBC affiliate), and if the Cuban-American community is turning against him it means the GOP just might be losing its grip on those voters. And if they lose those voters, they’ll lose Florida.

McCain Epic Fail

Like Bush in Iraq, John McCain declared victory before the war was over.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and his top aides took credit for building a winning bailout coalition – hours before the vote failed and stocks tanked.

The rush to claim he had engineered a victory now looks like a strategic blunder that will prolong the McCain’s campaign’s difficulty in finding a winning message on the economy.

Shortly before the vote, McCain had bragged about his involvement and mocked Sen. Barack Obama for staying on the sidelines.

Perhaps McCain will suspend his campaign again. Permanently. Or we’ll just do it for him in a month.

Take The Fight To Them

Robert Gibbs of the Obama campaign makes the goobers on Fox & Friends apoplectic on the bracelet issue because a Dem refuses to accept their right-wing blog framing of the issue.

If/when Obama is elected, Fox News is going to be opposition central, so think of this as sort of a preview in addition to the slam pieces the NY Post (another wing of the Murdoch empire) is pushing today.
