What is a sharper microscope?
Looks like they remembered to scrub this finally, it’s now gone.
I don’t interpret this interview as talking down to Hillary. Seems like she is trying to explain that complaining about perceived slights does not achieve as much as rallying (as women) and striking back with efforts redoubled.
I think people under estimate the desire of women to have representation in every echelon on power as a representation of their equality with men.
I think she is a fantastic choice to round out McCain’s ticket.
The women I know are extremely excited about this choice.
Actually, Palin was praising her in this video as well and saying she would do better if she avoided saying things like she did.
Of course, as a result of Hillary saying those things, we have posts like this where you blast her for “blaming sexism” when she “fails”:
http://www.oliverwillis.com/2008/05/25/when-clinton-fails-she-blames-sexism/
“With all due respect” always precedes disrespect.
The boots are hott, though.
“With all due respect” is a polite way to say, “sorry if your feelings are hurt”, but these are the facts.
Palin has a great opportunity to be a woman without whining. Its making me nervous.
Hillary Clinton overplayed her hand and I think this woman will appeal to die-hard Clinton supporters.
The most important message that the Obama campaign must remind women that Pro life will eliminate Women’s Rights and Women’s Choices.
Pro-Life goes beyond abortion. Pro-life is now attacking the right to use birth control and women’s rights to privacy when seeking medical care with their doctors.
Jill Biden appears to be charming, sweet, and supportive. I hope she is up to the battle because she should be the Obama campaign’s face to attack Sarah Palin not her husband Joe.
Jill Biden’s women’s health and breast cancer credentials should help be utilized to the maximum. In fact Jill and her daughter Ashley Biden would be a great combination, mother and daughter, fighting for women’s rights.
The best news for the Obama campaign is that Sarah Palin overshadows McCain. She makes him look old and near dead. Kind of like “with all due respect” Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta Jones. Some of the Hollywood stories about Douglas’ “napping” and trying to keep of with Jones and their young boys are hillarious.
Looks like they remembered to scrub this finally, it’s now gone.
Ooohhhh…those all powerful Rethuglicans got to YouTube again! Oh wait, the video is still there. Huh.
Pro-life is now attacking the right to use birth control and women’s rights to privacy when seeking medical care with their doctors.
Could you elaborate on this charge?
Remember the Pharmacists refusing to fill prescriptions for birth control pills and not carry contraceptives. They were supported by Pro life advocates.
Just put in Google “Pharmacists refuse prescriptions for birth control.
Remember the Pharmacists refusing to fill prescriptions for birth control pills…
Funny, that reminds me more of the Catholic Church than anything else. Hmmm…have we ever had a President supported by the “pro-life” Catholic Church? Or were any of the prominent speakers on Planet Awesome supported by these “pro-life” Catholics?
I guess that’s the risk of using a label at all…who decides to whom the label is applied? I don’t agree that denial of access to contraception is a tenet of what we commonly call the “pro-life” movement. You didn’t address the privacy issue so I don’t know what that’s all about.
Hmmm…have we ever had a President supported by the “pro-life” Catholic Church?
Yes. George Bush got 49% of the Catholic vote and even beat John Kerry with the Catholic vote in Mass. The same attacks and more are being planned for Biden. The Catholic TV news program “The World Over” is planning the attack on Joe Biden as a Pro Choice Catholic.
Pro Life believes in by any means necessary. When I mentioned before about the privacy rights of women being attacked by Pro Life advocates, another issue was their efforts to gain access to patient’s names and address from abortion centers and federally funded family planning agencies under the guise of searching for statutory rape and incest crimes.
Hopefully women organization and the Obama campaign women supporters will get on top of these issues. Most women don’t know their rights to birth control are at risk as well as their privacy rights.
Juhar…
Most women don’t know their rights to birth control are at risk as well as their privacy rights.
Right. Then they’ll burn all the books except for the Bible, because I’m sure there’s a group who believes in that too.
Aboogada boogada boogada!
She’ll be tough. I am not voting for McCain, but I agree on her assessment of Hillary’s whining. Dem’s need to worry, she seems quick on her verbal responses and not stupid in the least.
Scratch, if you haven’t noticed that there has been an “assault on reason” going on for the last 8 years, you haven’t been paying attention.
From forcing “creation science” into the schools, to queer-bashing, to global-warming denial, to Ten Commandments monuments in public courthouses, to abstinence-only sex ed programs, (the list goes on and on), religious fanatics have long been attempting to slowly turn the US into a theocracy. The pharmacist thing is just one more example. These holyroller pharmacists refuse to fill lawful prescriptions because of their “moral objections.” I call bullshit.
If I am morally opposed to cutting down old-growth trees, should I get a job as a lumberjack? Can I tell the lumber company, “I’ll cut down those trees, but not these?” Would I still have a job if I did? If you don’t want to do your job–ALL of your job–get a different job!
So, no, they won’t “burn all the books except the Bible.” But some of these nuts would surely burn every copy of “The Origin of Species” if they could.
You’re so full of it if you think this woman will replace any kinds of feelings that we have toward Hillary or her awesome campaign. NADER/GONZALEZ FOR AMERICA 2008 HILLARY CLINTON 2012!
