Well, I think we just had a moment here. The AP has detail, but it was one of those emotional moments I’m really glad I was there for.

Wow, phenomenal. Wish I was there to see that.
Count All the Votes!
Selected, Not Elected!
As a Republican, I never fully understood the hatred towards Hillary. I support the idea of Universal Health Care and think that only women should have a voice as to whether abortion is acceptable or not.
She’s kind of grown on me over the last year or so. I was listening to NPR last night on my way home and her “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuits” comment left me in stitches, almost running a red light.
Despite all the venom and bile directed at her, I think she’s a great American and a person to be looked up to despite demonizing her for her many *human* moments.
Cheers, Hill, for standing in such a blinding, burning light that I would never have the guts or patience to stand in.
I’m so glad that the black community has won this victory! I don’t think Barack is the right candidate though, but I think the idea of a black president is absoutely fantastic!
John,
I second that!
Thinker,
Um… or, we actually think he’s a the right person for the job and he happens to be black, which also turns out to be significant! Your name? A misnomer.
2016.
It wasn’t only a Black community victory. Did you see everyone that was brought to tears of joy?
On King’s Birthday throughout the day I don’t know how many times people say that King was not just for the Black community but for America and the world. Now everyone, even King’s critics have the nerve to hijack King’s “I have a Dream” speech to show diversity and mulitculturalism.
But today, Obama was the people’s champion . He was the champion for everyone who believes in hope and change. HOPE AND CHANGE 2008 doesn’t belong to any color or ethnicity.
We are in this one together.
I’ve been bawling like a fucking baby (or a bleeding heart Liberal?) while watching all the these clips of the DNC. God I love this country.
“We are in this one together.”
Amen.
I’m so glad that the black community has won this victory!
A little short sighted, Thinker. This is an American victory.
It belongs to all of us.
“I’m so glad that the black community has won this victory!”
This is a victory for the half-white community as well…
I’m so glad that the black community has won this victory!
It appears that thinker has an ‘us against them’ mentality.
