I am sitting here watching Kathleen Sebelius, who is good people, but less thrilling than Leahy at the moment. Makes me appreciate hothead guitarist O’Malley more. Makes me glad I did not grow up in Kansas if this is what wins there, her quite serious technocratic resume aside.
One thing the convention gives us is the opportunity to see why we should be glad that certain people were not chosen to be our VP candidate. As each Democrat of Consequence gets up and speaks, Obama choosing Biden seems more and more like a no-brainer.
Amen, Mr. Powell, if I may. Hated to sacrifice a perfectly good Sect’y of State, but we need to win.
