American Airlines being part of a creepily named business network, and telling you so, isn't a patch on my last USAir flight: USAir has teamed up with one of the big credit card banks (I forget which one), and so they use the cabin loudspeakers to pitch a credit card deal that comes with bonus frequent flier miles to their captive audience, then send the flight attendants through the cabin to offer application forms. This on a six hour flight that doesn't even offer a free glass of water (well, I'm guessing you could get one for free, for safety reasons, but they don't offer; a bottle of water, or a can of coke, is $2).
