Am I the only one who has a problem with that statement? If he meant he would pursue Bin Laden to the gates of Hell, why would he say it like that? One usually says it like that when you mean you would do anything for someone.
Like Paulie Walnuts:”Tony Soprano? I’d follow that man to the gates of Hell.”

Anybody else wondering? Or did he say it that way because he was a POW?

I’m glad guys like duh feel so confident. Maybe they’ll be too ashamed to show up here after the first debate.
Duh, did you watch any of the GOP debates during the primary? Did you see how happy he got when he remembered to say one of his tag lines, like “I’ll follow Osama to the gates of hell!” Followed, of course, by that weird gigglegrin he does. He got away with that while debating the likes of Romney and Huckabee. Don’t think it will work with Obama.
The only way McCain can win in the debates is by losing. Then the audience might think Obama was picking on a confused old man. You know, like Jack McCoy lost that case when the old guy cried in that “Law and Order” episode.

Parth when these two candidates stood out as the contenders, I was really worried. McCain is not even close to being a perfect candidate, while on the surface, in front of a teleprompter, Obama looks great.

Now, as we see more about how much less Obama is, as well as his tired Chicago style politics, the democrats have taken what should be a walk-away lead and turned it into a horse-race.

When Obama finally gets the guts to go head-to-head with McCain, he is going to get creamed.

I feel better and better each day about the Republican chances for a win, how many of you feel the same about the Democrats?

btw, the savings and loan scandal was cooked up by the Republican White House, the Reagan White House. Since the complicit Democrat Senators and House-members were afraid of actually going after the UberPresident (his Fascist minions at arms to protect him), they threw a few Senators under the bus in an offering to distract the people from the real culprits (in the White House and Corporate America) in order to avoid cultural wars and such. McCain and some other guys were thrown over as being too close to only one of the many involved in the mess. While noted Republicans and Democrats were deeply involved in the S and L, the Keating Five had little to do with what caused it all–rabid Deregulation of the Financial System. (and the Clinton’s had nothing to do with it either but Republicans tried to blame them…but came up only with pornography for their amusement..)

This McCain and his wife are the scum of the earth. Time to reveal their unearned income based on lying and cheating.

Senator Stevens, as another one, did no more than this and yet the Republicans threw him under the bus.

The reason that the Crypt thinks it’s not too important is that it’s revelation of McCain’s posing as someone else to avoid??? something (like not really living in his district? or avoiding taxes or what? ) Is that it didn’t effect that particular election….(as I said, “Even a Pit bull dog could have gotten elected in Arizona over any Dem. at the time”.)

Now it’s different, if he’d posed like that now as a Senator, he’d get the Steven’s treatment… and he’s running for President in a nation split down the middle –red or blue– thus people need to know more about McCain’s lack of character.

Like his ghost written stories about crosses in the dirt. All Fake!
