Oliver talk to our delegates from: Florida, does Biden put it in play? Nevada, realistic pick up? Michigan, Biden should help there too? Pennsylvania, does Biden cement it for us? New Hampshire,is it safe yet? Virginia, leaning our way but does Biden help? If yes – how? Colorado, slowing slipping away – or? Iowa, can we lock it up? And mostly – Ohio, intrade has us up 55/50 – does Biden help here too?

Lucky for me I don’t trust any of the MSM anymore.

They all have an agenda: Ratings. Ratings=Ad revenue. Ad revenue=content that does not incite advertisers boycott by viewers. Objectivity in reporting =/= content.

Reporting the news is way down on their To DO lists.

Duros, I don’t think MediaMatters is subtle enough for what I meant. I meant the subjective tone of the coverage as much as individual facts of omission. Beware the way MSM steer you without providing objective facts to back them up–this is the most insidious kind of bias because it can go unexamined.

Journalism involves following stories. Sports Events and Political Campaigns sit there and beg you to cover them. It is anti-journalism.

The only interesting story, of course, is the story the DNC doesn’t want you to tell. The definition of “interesting” is “surprising,” and the DNC doesn’t want any surprises.

The same holds true for the RNC convention.

That said, if you want to get interviews with the players, it makes you look good if you are reporting from the proverbial locker-room. It might be interesting to me if you get someone really brilliant, providing insight that no one else has. Of course, to know the insight that no one else has requires that you keep up to date with every other journalist.

Maybe your readers demand instant gratification, so you give them what you get. Maybe they want something a bit more circumspect, so you gather flowers, while ye may, sit back, review what the competition has offered, and plant a little garden for us.

First reaction: give yourself free reign, no agenda. It’s worked up to now for the best blog on the net IMHO.

Second: Nobody’s nailed PUMA fanatics on why, after Hillary’s nasty, scorched-earth campaign, THEY are the resentful ones. If none of them seem emotionally above the age of 4, though, skip it. So I agree with Calvin, Jain.

My advice, small as it is, would be to use this opportunity to really refine and express your writing style. Your website is great for clearly written, pertinent and humorous observations. Try not to emulate another writer but rather continue to develop your own voice.

Tell us what is happening to you as a person as you go through another stage in your political growth.

Actually, if you get any free time, take a few hours and head south to Colorado Springs. Visit the Garden of the Gods and take the train to the top of Pike’s Peak. It will be August, but it will be snowing at the top.
