He’s not like us.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.
“I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. “It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.”
I would say that approximately 99.8% of the US population doesn’t need more than 4 seconds to remember how many homes they own.
The RW morons in the comment section of this article are twisting themselves into pretzels to try and expalin away why McCain owning 9 homes is a good thing. many of them wave the story off with a “who cares”. Really “who cares”, if Obama owned 9 homes and didnt remeber how many he owned you would hear it about non stop 24/7, but since the Obama camp and the DNC are averse to taking “cheap shots” against their shameless opponents this story like Phil Gramm whiners, Shite Al Qaeda, Randy Schumenn lobbyist ties to Georgia etc will fall by the wayside.
I may loathe Republicans but they know how to milk the media in to covering what ever the hell they want them to cover.
The desperation is palpable.
Lets ask the really important question:
How many houses did Tony Rezko buy for McCain?
But of course that is less popular among the liberals than the incessant class warfare attempts.
Does he not know because it’s too many to keep track of, or does he not know because he’s losing his grip on reality? Or a little of both?
How many houses did Tony Rezko buy for McCain?
None? That was easy; was there supposed to be a point to that?
I imagine we could ask Cindy how many houses since all the property is in her name. Of course, we now know she lied about meeting Mother Teresa, essentially fabricating the story about how she adopted her own freaking daughter, so between that, the recipe theft, and the drug stuff, I’m pretty sure we can toss any idea of Cindy having credibility about anything out the window.
And since Rezko bought exactly, um, what’s that number? Zero? Houses for Obama, your point is what again, duh?
The desperation is palpable.
Yes it is, just not in the way you mean.
Seriously, how is McCain the right guy for the job? I have yet to hear anyone put forth a solid argument that he is. We should vote for a President who can do the job. After the last 8 years, don’t we deserve that? How is McCain best suited for this position? If anyone here was in charge of hiring people, would you hire this guy? For anything other than a greeter at Wal-Mart?
Ah, but remember, as our Republican friends helpfully point out from time to time, elitism is a state of mind. As in, “if you’re in a liberal state of mind, you’re a tea-drinking elitist. If you’re in a conservative state of mind, you’re living out the American dream.”
‘Elitism’ is one of those things (like ‘flip-flopping’) that I wish we could strike from the language. By and large, in politics, it seems we’re dealing with rich people. Can anybody name the last major candidate who wasn’t personally wealthy? I’m trying here…
McCain is perpetually confused. He needs minders (e.g., Lieberrman) to whisper the correct answer in his ear. Not the best choice for President for this reason alone.
I’m voting for the guy who knows how many houses he owns.
So what. He and Barryack are rich people and have several investments properties that they probably dont live it. Hell I make less than 75K and I have 5 properties with 4 of those being rentals. I have not been to 3 of them in two years. Nevertheless I am a Democrat and will be voting for the best man for the job of president and that is John Mccain.
“I’m voting for the guy who knows how many houses he owns.”
Bumper sticker material, here. No joke.
an equally relevant question – “How much did the McCaihn score in the all -out sell of AnheuserBusch to foreign investors – In/Bev?”
I can’t beleive the tripe people fall for! McCain trying to sell the Obamas as unpartiotic and elitist and un-relateable to ‘regular people’…and the McCains are so far removed from regular people it’s a shame. And how patriotic is it sell “America’s beer – AB”.
if you’re in a liberal state of mind, you’re a tea-drinking elitist
Tea-drinking elitist? Why, may I remind you that our founding fathers were all tea-drinkers! Did they rise up in protest and stage the Boston Coffee Klatch?
No, they did not. It was the Boston Tea Party that helped spark America’s great revolution. So let’s not hear any more about “tea drinking elitists,” you Monarchist, you.
If anyone here was in charge of hiring people, would you hire this guy? For anything other than a greeter at Wal-Mart?
He’d make a terrible greeter at Wal-Mart. Can you imagine it?
“Hey, how’s it going there, you little jerk!
Thanks for your concern, Democrat Taz. Enjoy your McCain golf club covers.
Rezko? Birth Certificates? Elitism? Phony Madarassas? -That’s desperation.
Did they rise up in protest and stage the Boston Coffee Klatch?
Exactly the point – Teh founders (like Gov. Dukakis, President Clinton, VP gore, Sens. Kerry and Obama) were elitists! Hit the Europeans (and the Europe-lovers) right where it hurts – their tea!
“Hey, how’s it going there, you little jerk!
Anybody here a fair hand at photoshop?
“I’m voting for the guy who knows how many houses he owns.”
That’s awesome.

Lemme get to work.
Dear Ed,
I need your contact information. You’re about to become a millionaire (or, more likely, you’re about to make a couple of dollars).
I’m voting for the guy who knows how many homes he owns

The bumper sticker! Buy a 10 pack now and pass them out to your friends.
*All proceeds to be split between the guy who came up with the line and the Obama campaign!*
I guess we can give Obama a pass for saying there are 54 or 55 states in the United States? Can we focus on issues and not these silly points?
“Can we focus on issues and not these silly points?”
I sincerely wish that we could, but polls show that we can’t. It’s time to play dirty if we want to get America back.
I sincerely wish that we could, but polls show that we can’t. It’s time to play dirty if we want to get America back.
The last few months and looking over the elections of 2000 and 2004 have convinced me of the truth of this. Unfortunately, one can take the high road and lose or meet one’s opponent’s tactics blow for blow. Machiavelli continues his five-century streak of relevance.
Silly? A man running for president is either a) embarrassed of how many homes he owns or b) simply can’t remember?
That ain’t silly, that’s a deal-breaker. McCain is unfit for the job. But what really puts a smile on my face is how this kills any Republican slur-machine effort to paint Obama as an elitist.
Guess they’ll have to go back to the gangsta-rappa thing. Yeah, Barry was way into the thug life at Columbia and Harvard.
I know that picture of rage-aholic McCain is being used to death, but it’s priceless.
Bwah!!
TFJ to Duros!
And I’ve violated my personal rule of not reading Duros’ comments in a public place.
Consider that TJF seconded. Well done sir!
Duros wins the thread!
I need your contact information. You’re about to become a millionaire (or, more likely, you’re about to make a couple of dollars).
I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.
If I become a millionaire, I can’t promise that I won’t become an asshole, as they often go hand in hand. But I promise that I won’t start voting Republican. Which also tends to follow.
I sincerely wish that we could, but polls show that we can’t. It’s time to play dirty if we want to get America back.
BOOM…..!
That just sums it up doesn’t it?
Pure liberal elitism. Standing up on the soapbox of “I’m so much smarter than the great unwashed masses of america” and “playing dirty” to be sure my guy wins.
The end justifies the means eh my Good Germans?
wink, wink, nudge,nudge.
You guys are frightening…..
“Pure liberal elitism. Standing up on the soapbox of “I’m so much smarter than the great unwashed masses of america” and “playing dirty” to be sure my guy wins.
Yep, you nailed it. It is hard not to feel smarter than someone who can’t tell a blastocyst from a human being, who think the earth is 6,000 years old, that tax cuts grow the economy, thought that there were WMD’s in Iraq and believe that history will vindicate a dry drunk who squandered the hegemony of the greatest power in the world while his replacement with sugar-momma in tow knows what regular America wants. Indeed, pardon us if we fucking sound the least bit elitist.
You guys are frightening…..
Shorter Duh: I want my mommy…
No Duh, not my mommy, but I would like to maintain some semblance of liberty and autonomy if The Obama is elected.
It would appear that his minions are all ready to prevent THAT from happening, as the Pogrom against the relatively successful will begin soon after the Messiah is Elevated….
Pure liberal elitism. Standing up on the soapbox of “I’m so much smarter than the great unwashed masses of america” and “playing dirty” to be sure my guy wins.
This is coming from a guy who subscribes to an ideology that states that its leaders and principals are descendant from God himself, that Christianity is the one true religion, that homosexuals aren’t people.
And liberals aren’t saying that they’re smarter than the American populace. Just smarter than you, which is a pretty low bar as it is.
It’s nice to see you selling other people’s dignities for $1.50. No, really.
but I would like to maintain some semblance of liberty and autonomy if The Obama is elected.
Setting aside for a moment I don’t even know what that means, you can be sure we won’t have that liberty and autonomy if Obama is not elected.
