So it turns out that McCcain actually met this future mistress Cindy in Honolulu. Following their wedding, the elitist Mr and Mrs John Sidney spent their honeymoon in -- Hawaii.

The rebuff put forward is McCains use of the word private? (I'm not sure 'private' automatically means 'private property')

I think it's obvious McCains point was well made.
They're both wealthy, probably both elitist. Only difference is McCain got there through crony capitalism and Obama through affirmative action.

Thanks for this: I was just about to make this point on DailyKos. There is a constant battle between property owners and the public about beach access in Hawaii and I trespassed many a time to get to a beach... through Kauai coffee land to go to Palama, all over Kauai. It was my hobby. I remember that there was a dispute about Niihau and a boat and this issue since the ownership of the island pre-dated the existence of the state of Hawaii, etc.

I wrote a song about his, sort of:

Duh,

How about March 15?

Barak Obama: I trusted Rezko
Chicago Tribune, March 15
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-obama-rezkomar15,0,848648.story

"Obama also elaborated on previous statements about his private real estate transactions with Rezko, saying they were not simply mistakes of judgment because Rezko was under grand jury investigation at the time of their 2005 and 2006 dealings. "The mistake, by the way, was not just engaging in a transaction with Tony because he was having legal problems. The mistake was because he was a contributor and somebody who was involved in politics.""

"Obama used bad judgement. He’s admitted as much and said it was a mistake to get into the deal with Rezko."

Really, when, link please.

Oh, and does that mean the Quaker and Oliver and the rest of Obama Hallelujah Choir are full of it, I mean if The Messiah has admitted his poor judgement?

Cause I will say right here and right now, that if The Obama came right out and said it was wrong to get into that deal, I am pretty good with it, even if he never had to suffer any consequence for it.

OBTW, I hope they put Ted Stevens away for the rest of miserable life too...

"And I’ve got beachfront property in Kansas for sale Oliver."

Is that private beach front property, Jay?

So the whole controversy over Rezko is that, while Obama broke no laws, "Obama claims to be 'different' and not part of such nonsense." That's it?

Obama does advertise himself as being a different kind of politician but I don't think he's ever said he's not a politician, period. Or at least, not a human being. Obama used bad judgement. He's admitted as much and said it was a mistake to get into the deal with Rezko. McCain had to say the same thing about his involvement with Keating, way back when.

At the same time, McCain's campaign is riddled with lobbyists and lobbyist money. Is McCain's point then that Obama is just as tainted as he is? Is that it?

Seriously, if that's all you got on the Obama/Rezko "scandal" good luck with that.

Isn’t it at least unseemly to have a state senator in a real estate deal with someone who’s business is getting money from that state?

Short answer: no.

Longer answer: It's unseemly if the Senator is getting favors from the state contractor--you know, like free home remodeling. Ask Ted Stevens.

First off, getting a house that had been on the market for a while for 18 percent below the ask is hardly uncommon in the real estate market, especially when several other offers on the house came in lower.

And the owner was not selling the house on its own. The house had to be purchased with the attached property. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the owner would sell the house for $300,000 under the asking price just so long as they would get full asking price on the property next to it.

And Obama bought the half-lot for its appraised value.

Horseshit. The property was appraised at $40,500. Obama paid $104,000 for it. Read up Mikey before making an ass out of yourself next time.

And all of the sale was completely above-board and legal

Nobody said anything was done illegally. What it is however, is typical tactics used by politicians who have contacts and money. And Obama claims to be "different" and not part of such nonsense. Yeah right. A Chicago politician. In addition, Obama did all this at a time when he knew Rezko was under investigation.

Apparently Jay has never heard of more than one person trying to buy land and bidding on it.

Yeah. There was conveniently another person bidding full price on the same parcel of land. And I've got beachfront property in Kansas for sale Oliver.

I don't think that's correct, Mikey. I believe Mr. Obama paid more than the appraised value--in order to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

I guess it didn't fool Jay, though. His bloodhound nose is still catching a whiff of wrongdoing. Maybe some day he'll tell us what he thinks it is.

Well lets simplify the question then: How much state of Illinois money did rezko get?

Did obama help him get it?

Isn't it at least unseemly to have a state senator in a real estate deal with someone who's business is getting money from that state?

If that person is then convicted of a felony in relation to the money that he got from the state, doesn't that previous relationship become something a bit worse than unseemly?

Questions swirl.......

Did obama help him get it?

Isn’t it at least unseemly to have a state senator in a real estate deal with someone who’s business is getting money from that state?

If that person is then convicted of a felony in relation to the money that he got from the state, doesn’t that previous relationship become something a bit worse than unseemly?

Questions swirl…….

Apparently Jay has never heard of more than one person trying to buy land and bidding on it.

Jay,

Your bullshit would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. You're so out of your depth on the Rezko nonsense, and it shows...

"Obama buys his $1.65 million house for $300,000 under the asking price, but Rezko pays full price on the empty lot right next to it. A few months later, Obama then pays Rezko more than TWICE the market value for the strip of land he bought."

That's not what happened, and you know it. First off, getting a house that had been on the market for a while for 18 percent below the ask is hardly uncommon in the real estate market, especially when several other offers on the house came in lower. (I can ask double the value of my home, but it doesn't mean I'm going to get it... it certainly doesn't mean getting 20 percent below that ask is a sweetheart deal).

And Obama bought the half-lot for its appraised value. And all of the sale was completely above-board and legal, and there isn't a shred of evidence connecting Obama to any of Rezko's wrongdoing.

Try again, clown.
