So the whole controversy over Rezko is that, while Obama broke no laws, “Obama claims to be ‘different’ and not part of such nonsense.” That’s it?

Obama does advertise himself as being a different kind of politician but I don’t think he’s ever said he’s not a politician, period. Or at least, not a human being. Obama used bad judgement. He’s admitted as much and said it was a mistake to get into the deal with Rezko. McCain had to say the same thing about his involvement with Keating, way back when.

At the same time, McCain’s campaign is riddled with lobbyists and lobbyist money. Is McCain’s point then that Obama is just as tainted as he is? Is that it?

Seriously, if that’s all you got on the Obama/Rezko “scandal” good luck with that.

Horseshit. The property was appraised at $40,500. Obama paid $104,000 for it. Read up Mikey before making an ass out of yourself next time.

If that person is then convicted of a felony in relation to the money that he got from the state, doesn’t that previous relationship become something a bit worse than unseemly?

That’s not what happened, and you know it. First off, getting a house that had been on the market for a while for 18 percent below the ask is hardly uncommon in the real estate market, especially when several other offers on the house came in lower. (I can ask double the value of my home, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to get it… it certainly doesn’t mean getting 20 percent below that ask is a sweetheart deal).
