Fresh off the presses, from his town hall meeting going on right now in Chesapeake, VA, Senator Obama rips McCain a new one over how his multiple home gaffe informs us how out of touch McCain is on economics.
“I suppose, if you’ve got 7 maybe 8 houses, the economy looks pretty sound to you.” — Barack Obama
’)
It’s time he starts going back at McCain. McCain has essentially called Obama a traitor to his nation. Yeah, go after his Karl-Rove talking ass!
If 5 million is rich then I am F@#ked! If Obama is an arugula eater than McCain is a cavier topped arugula eater served on a platinum plate.

McCain has essentially called Obama a traitor to his nation.
He has most essentially not. Where’s your proof?
McCain’s done it a few hundred times.
Remember Farris, this is one of those things where any criticism that John McCain has leveled at Barack Obama with regard to say, the Iraq War is automatically equated with calling him a traitor.
That’s in the eyes of the Obama-bots I remind you.
Those of us on planet earth recognize that McCain hasn’t said anything remotely close to saying Obama is a traitor.
And yet you can’t even quote one instance. How conveeeenient…
Yeah, okay.
If thats calling someone a traitor, then what would you call it when you claim someone is making decisions about foreign policy based on lobbyists’ ties?
Your browser’s search function must be on the fritz. I thought you were going to show where McCain called Obama a traitor: That link doesn’t do that.
Yes, claiming that someone who has a consistent position is doing so for political gain isn’t remotely questioning his patriotism. And I got a bridge for you in Brooklyn.
then what would you call it when you claim someone is making decisions about foreign policy based on lobbyists’ ties
The truth?
Fling.
Whirr.
SPLAT!
Next?
McCain’s 270k in servant payroll was a POW
“Yes, claiming that someone who has a consistent position is doing so for political gain isn’t remotely questioning his patriotism.”
Drink.
McCain may or may not have called Obama a traitor, but he’s called him the antichrist.
So (using Oliver’s definitions) Oliver claims it is true that McCain is unpatriotic. Got it.
I called it. Just like I said.
Ma said he has ESSENTIALLY called Obama a traitor. And he has. Just as Rove and Co. ESSENTIALLY called Kerry a traitor in 04. Do they use the words “He’s a traitor?” No. Do we know what they mean? Yes.
If saying someone is “willing to lose a war to win an election” is not tantamount to a treason accusation, what would be?
Dog whistles apparently only work one way, Bruce.
I get the concept. But what is the answer to my question? And perhaps you’d like to give examples of dogwhistling from my side.
Do they use the words “He’s a traitor?” No. Do we know what they mean? Yes.
Oh here we go with the “I know what you really meant!!” Give me a freaking break already.
This is a tactic that Democrats have been using since 2002 to quell criticism over their policies and thankfully, nobody is buying it anymore (except for the left). They get criticized over foreign policy or national security policy and they start in whining, “Stop attacking my patriotism!!” Nobody is attacking anybody’s patriotism. People don’t get to spout off whatever it is the hell they want and get a free pass because some dolt thinks it is tantamount to questioning their patriotism or calling them a traitor.
As for what McCain said about Obama? Sorry, but it’s TRUE. He has tried to ride the wave of defeat in Iraq to the steps of the White House. All he (and his ads) has talked about is “ending” the war. Not winning the war. Just ending it, regardless of the circumstances. Of course, now that we’re winning and Obama has had to backtrack on the success of the surge, we don’t hear too much about Iraq anymore do we? No, the important issue to Obama has become how many houses John McCain has.

As for what McCain said about Obama? Sorry, but it’s TRUE. He has tried to ride the wave of defeat in Iraq to the steps of the White House.
Jay’s brain hurts.
No, brain is fine. The brains that are scrambled are those who say that what McCain said about Obama is akin to calling him a traitor.
It’s idiotic. But of course, look at the audience…
I’m sorry, but I do know what they really mean, and so do the voters, and so do you.
As for Iraq, now that we’re “winning”, what have we “won”? Will there be a liberal democracy in the heart of the Arab world, or a Shiite dictatorship that scares the crap out of its Sunni neighbors? Will we have a new ally, or will Iran have one? Will we have stability? A solution to the Palestinian-Israeli issue? Will we at least have low oil prices? No?
We sacrificed 1000 men to “succeed” with the Surge. And the LONG-TERM benefit to the US will be…what?
John McCain is the maverick – straight shooter. So when he says Obama would
Lose a war to win a political campaign? That’s not calling OBAMA a traitor. And the Real Obama? Doesn’t say that Obama is a liar and fake.
Everything McCain says is a smear against Obama and akin to calling him a traitor.
Sorry, Duros, I missed the sympathy. I’m not a smart man. But I’m smarter than Jay, SaveFarris, and the aptly named Duh.
No, brain is fine. The brains that are scrambled are those who say that what McCain said about Obama is akin to calling him a traitor.
So no defense for McCain calling him the Antichrist? OK then.
Jay, why do you hate America so much? (It’s OK, I’m not calling you a traitor).
LEFT WING TERROR UPDATE!!!
Now we know that Rove — the man who bugged his own office — is calling the shots at McCcain HQ.
Why do we never see Jay, Jay Tea, and j mccann on the same thread? Are they all the same guy? Same snarky tone, same benighted positions, same old-fsahioned insults (dolts, whiners, “the left”).Same refusal to engage when they’ve run out of talking points. They’re all pretty good at what they do. Just sayin’.
