How Fox “News” Operates

Hey, the Democratic convention is coming up… let’s show footage of the 1968 convention, and let’s put on some protesters too (never mind they ignored and ridiculed anti-war protesters in the past). Fair and balanced!

That’s the ‘Democrat Convention’ you mean to say.

Will you be criticizing NPR as well?

Activists Prepare to ‘Recreate ‘68′ at DNC

  3. j mccann says:

These nutty “activists” have been promising to raise hell at this convention for quite some time. Frankly, I can’t wait to see it. Every freak from every whacked out lefty organization will be there in droves, supposedly some with bottles of human waste to throw.

    Very classy.

Just one small word change, and we can describe your family reunion perfectly.

Will you be criticizing NPR as well?

I can’t vouch for Oliver, but I’ll criticize it. The main problem, besides it being a single fucking paragraph, is that they just describe them as “activists”. That doesn’t tell me shit. That’s just lazy journalism.

A riot would be horrible, but if it jolts the American populace out of their political apathy, I consider it a small price to pay. At least it’s better than rioting over a Tickle-me Elmo.

  5. JWG says:

    a single…paragraph

It’s a radio program. Your supposed to listen to it.

  6. j mccann says:

Sorry if the truth hurts, Zython.

You should know this is going to happen. They’ve been talking about it for a looooong time, so much so that Denver has an entire warehouse with cages inside to keep the nutbars locked up in when they start causing trouble.

It’s going to be hilarious. And the left again will look like a bunch of immature, deranged lunatics that pout, cry, threaten, and now fling poop when they don’t get their way.

    Priceless.

And why will this reflect poorly on the Democratic Party? The people who come to town to protest aren’t part of the convention, right mccann? If anything, this will show that the Fox News drumbeat of Dems = far, far left is a bunch of hooey.

As disappointing as that will be, I prefer it to the volatile, gun-toting psychopaths on the right who either bluster online about shooting liberals on the street or actually go ahead and act on that bluster, when they don’t get their way.

  9. Parthenon says:

The conservatives here seem positively gleeful at the idea of a few protests at the Democratic Convention… I dunno, seems to me they think they need an edge. I want the GOP to be unified, streamlined and ready to play – A) it just makes for better government when both parties have it together and B) if I’m USC it means little more to beat LSU than the Citadel.

The Ron Paul followers have to be planning something. Drove through rural Oregon recently; Those ‘US out of the UN’ “and rEVOLution signs haven’t gone away.

  10. Vanessa says:

I am interested in more details. What will the protesters be protesting? The war? Will they be at the Republican convention too?

  11. Mister Steve says:

Dredging up conventions of yore will be the tip of the iceberg. I can’t wait to see the Hillaryites, or pumas, or whatever the heck they’re calling themselves these days. I guarantee there will be enough distractions so there’s little chance policy will be discussed by the talking heads. Creating diversions is standard republican operating procedure.

“They’ve been talking about it for a looooong time, so much so that Denver has an entire warehouse with cages inside to keep the nutbars locked up in when they start causing trouble

Where’d they get that idea? Oh, right.

I don’t know why you’re apologizing to me, it’s your family.

  14. j mccann says:

    Spider,

The only people that may cause trouble at McCain’s convention will be the Paulnuts. And I admit, that too could be entertaining. Although I agree with Paul on more than a couple issues, his supporters are um….uh….a “little bit off,” so to speak.

We won’t see any gun-toting nuts or other bogeymen that the left has conjured up over the years at the Repub convention convention.

    Quaker,

Uhhh..it will reflect poorly on the Democratic party because it will demonstrate just how many on your side of the aisle are crazier than shithouse rats strung out on crack. It’s gonna be hilarious. And I can’t wait to see some of the pictures of ugly people making fools of themselves for which ever “hip” cause they’re supporting this week.

    Priceless.

  15. SaveFarris says:

if I’m USC it means … more to beat LSU

Of course if would mean more. Because in reality, it would NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

  16. SpiderJ says:

Of course not, j mccann. The gun toting nuts won’t be at the Repub convention, there’s no Democratic Party chairmen there to be shot down in cold blood.

  17. SpiderJ says:

And what ugly people? Hot chicks dig Obama, remember?

  18. Duros Hussein 62 says:

Oh, is Rush gonna be there?

  19. Vanessa says:

    “Hot chicks dig Obama, remember?”

I’m going to have to agree with you.

  20. daniel rotter says:

“…it will reflect poorly on the Democratic Party…”

So people PROTESTING in front of the Democratic National Convention reflects poorly on the Democratic Party? Yeah, whatever.

  21. Quaker in a Basement says:

Uhhh..it will reflect poorly on the Democratic party because it will demonstrate just how many on your side of the aisle are crazier than shithouse rats strung out on crack.

The Democrats are inside the convention. The protesters are outside. But they’re all on “our side of the aisle”?

    mccann, that’s just nutty.

  22. j mccann says:

    Quaker….

    We’ll see.

And by the way, just one of the cracked out shithouse rats that’ll be there – - – Cindy Sheehan.

So is she a Republican now?

And there will be many more too……

And I guess I should’ve phrased that another way. It will reflect poorly on the left in general, not just democrats.

Either way, it’s going to be hilarious.

  23. daniel rotter says:

“it will reflect poorly on the left in general, not just democrats.”

So all Democrats are part of “the left”?. Wow, if you think Zell Miller (who is still a Democrat) is a leftist, you must be so far to the right that you think the John Birchers are a bunch of pinkos.
