If I was a Pat I’d throw it out. If you are in that organization, part of that 18-1 team, you cannot see last season as anything but a miserable failure. Their whole mantra is ‘Super Bowl or nothing,’ which ought to be the attitude of the 53rd man on every roster in the league, let alone the attitude of the gold standard organization of the past decade.
I agree with Parthenon; Kraft should have known better – known the personality of his team better – than to give them this weak “honor”. Even though most teams would be happy to win 18 games in two CONSECUTIVE seasons, there’s nothing to celebrate about a season that ended so close but so far from the goal.
