Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday revealed an audio recording that shows an aide pressuring the Public Safety Department to fire a state trooper embroiled in a custody battle with her sister.
Palin, who has previously said her administration didn’t exert pressure to get rid of trooper Mike Wooten, also disclosed that members of her staff had made about two dozen contacts with public safety officials about the trooper.
The bizarre thing is this might make Palin more likely to be McCain’s running mate.

What’s wrong with being sexy?
She won’t be his nominee.
That state is ripe, RIPE, for picking in November.
Most of the top level Republicans are in scandal mode or under federal investigation.
Don’t see her on the ticket.

None of you would try to get this Trooper fired if he tasered your 11 year old nephew.
None of you would find it unacceptable for a Trooper to get caught drinking on duty behind the wheel of his squad car.
None of you would find it unacceptable for an Alaska State Trooper to shoot and kill a 1500 pound Moose, cut it up and put in in his freezer OUT OF SEASON.
None of you would find it unacceptable that a bartender called 911 because a severely drunk patron(the off-duty Trooper) left the bar and took off in a car and when the State Troopers pulled him over and saw who he was they gave him a free ride home instead of a DUI.
And if YOU were Governor and this Trooper had threatened to KILL your father and suggested he might do you too, I’m sure none of you would report him or try to have him fired.

Yes, and she says she was totally unaware of her staff doing so, which has shown to be truthful in both several taped conversations and from what her staff has said under oath to the Attorney General Investigators.
The truth is her family did report these incidents repeatedly in the past with no proper response by authorities. The troopers investigated and the trooper got 5 days off work for all his crimes. Wow, what punishment. I’m sure he went moose hunting on his paid days off.

Obviously, McCain, long-suffering from untreated PTSD, wants those mythical Hillary supporters to give him votes with this unethical woman on his ticket. For the first time in history a person is selected for VP who is currently under a criminal investigation…FACT! States don’t just spend thousands and thousands of dollars investigating their governor for the fun of it…especially when Alaska is a RED state investigating a BRIGHT RED governor.
…and on top of that, it shows even more how hypocritical John McCain is to criticize his opponent about lack of experience and then choose someone who has MUCH less experience than his opponent.
This is more proof that John McCain has NO CLUE what is going on and completely OUT OF TOUCH with America.
This Obama supporter is fine with McCain’s pick – no fear of someone who is so obviously unqualified to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency and someone whose ultra-conservative views will turn off moderate swing voters.
Palin’s dysfunctional family is a very clear reason she is not ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. She is overloaded with a large demanding family at home, an absentee husband working in the oil fields of alaska and a pending scandal. She is only slightly more than political eye candy but woefully thin on experience. I don’t favorably compare running a town of 8,000 to the enormity of dealing with the complexes of major city buracracy as in obama’s case as community organizer. I truly believe Mccain has not taken a serious look in either the mirror or his birth certificate.if he should win he has put this country at terrible risk. …is true, then sure get him fired. That is not a scandal, that is rational behavior in the face of irrational behavior. No sane dem., rep., independent or ‘don’t care’ should deny it and give Palin a hard time over this; if these statements regarding the troopers behavior are true.

Dont be to quick to judge Sarah Palin over the Mike Wooten firing. Mike Wooten has a long history of wrongdoing as a State Trooper that has been overlooked and ignored. I myself have caught him drunk driving. Have caught him having affairs. Have heard from his “lover” that he beat his kids but only because he was beat as a kid. This guy is a serious loser. I myself contacted Palin and her staff while she was running for Governer and advised them of texts between Mike and his threesome concerning his fear she would be elected and his actions of tracking her. Sarah did not strike out she did the opposite. Her staff should have been very concerned to have a drunk driving, child abuser, working as a State Trooper in Alaska.

I have read terrible stories about Governor Palins record of animal abuses, from animal rights organizations; such as allowing wolves’ to be murdered by hunters shotting from aircraft and paying a bounty on the dead body or a part of it. If this is true, this person should not have been nominated to be our vice president, but indicted for animal abuse! Where is our country going?
I would like to know the truth about another story I heard about Palin. Is there anything to this pressuring of a librarian to remove “questionable” books from the library when she became the gov. of Alaska? When I heard this story it made me feel real concern that this person could end up our president (god forbid) and waltz into the library of congress and order removal of volumns there. It seems they already want to remove womens rights to there bodies, and strip the states of animals and fossil fuels, are we really going to let the republicans destroy the country?
I would really love to know where the dems are coming from. Sara Palin is a hard noise lady at times, but Palin also knows how to wear a dress n heels.
