Seriously? You’ve posted on this blog many times and I know that you’re not a complete idiot. John McCain has flip-flopped (popular phrase, right?) on so many issues that I don’t know where to begin. You’re aware of this, correct???

In the last couple of years John McCain has changed his positions on:

Roe vs Wade
Tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans
Campaign Finance Reform
TORTURE!!!

The list goes on, but you know all of this… right Jay? You’re not just pretending it doesn’t exist because that would be dishonest, right?

And, like GWB, I’m going to pre-emptively attack you before you list Obama’s flip-flops because I am well aware of them. I’m not so blinded by party loyalty that I pretend that they don’t exist.

So the Democrats respond with an ad that says, “Well since John McCain is now running for President, we hate him.”

As late as the publication of Bill Maher’s paperback ‘New Rules,’ the previous perception of McCain was still holding. One of the rules was essentially ‘you shouldn’t force people who hate you to stump for you. whatever the Bush Administration is using to blackmail John McCain, stop.’

One might chalk this up to the increased scrutiny one receives from being a major party’s candidate, since, as is now commonly known, McCain was only with the Democrats on a handful of issues and other than that, generally a straight Bush/Delay/Frist conservative.
