I'm suspicious that any drilling is much more than a quick fix (if one can call a slight drop in price a 'fix'), as you've probably already guessed. I'd be open to expansion of drilling - maybe not in the continental shelf, but en la tierra - if I thought it was going to do much for more than a few years, if that. But demand is going to outstrip anything we can do about supply, that much appears to be clear.
