I thought you were smarter than that. If you really believe this, I have to ask you - have you ever actually listened and compared the content of Rush Limbaugh’s show vs. Tom Joyner, Russ Parr or Donnie Simpson, just to pick out three popular black radio hosts? It’s bad enough that for years, they’ve been trying and failing to find the “Left version of Limbaugh and Savage” because quite frankly, they're in a class of their own. The bigger point though, is just because Obama gave interviews to black radio stations doesn't make them comparable on that scale to Limbaugh. I've often wished black radio would be more politically involved and try to educate and open minds to real world ideals from both ends of the spectrum instead of what concert is coming up or what top songs were played that day. The few shows that do have good topics for call-in discussion aren't doing the opposite of Limbaugh, they're presenting factual issues and usually bringing in people to facilitate good discussions of these issues. Rush can usually be found whining about "feminazis" and twisting reality to his own far right deluded version, I don't see any real comparision to black or any other radio out there. You could try Air America but that didn't do too well. Black radio is getting a bad rap here but I don't expect much more than that from the Grey Lady.

Pooling the aggregate audience numbers for different radio shows (1 of which airs at a different time) is disingenuous. That'd be just like someone adding together O'Reillys and Hannitys numbers and say "4 million people watch FOX News every night" No. They don't. It's the same 2 million watching 2 different shows.
