Could it be possible that large swaths of the Iraqi populace actually don’t want Americans there? And never did in the first place? And that a very small number of Al-Qaida linked fighers are actually there, and that the majority of anti-American combatants are the Iraqis, Sunni and Shia, themselves?

Afghanistan and Iraq are two different countries with two very different cultures and sets of issues. McCain keeps getting a pass from the press on his lack of basic geography skills, and he shouldn’t. But he’s old and white and makes barbecue, so the press thinks he’s his own man. LOL-worthy.
