Alaska Blue

Democrat Mark Begich is up 9 over the incumbent, incompetent Ted “Tubes” Stevens. A Democrat can win a senate in Alaska if people step up.
That wacky idea Howard Dean had of competing in all the states as if the Democrats were a national party just might work.

“That wacky idea Howard Dean had of competing in all the states as if the Democrats were a national party just might work.”
The Republicans have been shut out of the Northeast. They are one state away from being shut out of the Pacific, the only state in the Southwest they are ahead of right now is Arizona thanks to it being John McCain’s home state.
Conversely, the Democrats should win at least one state in the Mountain & Plains region, possibly as many as 4. Also, they are in a coin toss in Virginia, and could win three Southern states if they manage a strong wave in November.
The Democrats are now a national party while the Republicans are being reduced to a regional party. And credit should go to Howard Dean. … Well, Dean and George W. Bush.
It appears the party is learning to deal with that natural disadvantage of its members tending to cluster on the continental coasts.
I support Mark Begich for Alaska! He has a real chance. There are a lot of Alaskans who are tired of old Uncle Ted, aka the angry little man.
