    Given the Republican track record, I think it is wise to assume malice in these cases. However, McCain’s campaign has been so inept, that I don’t think they could have done this intentionally.

    Wasn’t there some flap about the “RATS” in “Democrats” lingering longer onscreen in a similar ad years ago?

    This doesn’t seem nearly as blatant, and it’s so subtle that if it were intended it’s incredibly inept.
