I'm not prepared to say that means necessarily that Sen. McCain will be Bush III if elected - in some instances the President's position may have just been McCain's preferred alternative of the choices offered, rather than his own preferred position - but still, the observation that their positions are similar is perfectly valid. I imagine this will turn on some people and, at this point, probably turn off a lot more. If you vote with the president’s position 95 percent of the time in 2007, you have to expect this.
