A Third Bush Term, McBush, Etc.

It’s stickin’. Because it is true.
A recent USA Today/Gallup poll finds about two in three Americans concerned that John McCain would pursue policies as president that are too similar to what George W. Bush has pursued. Nearly half — 49% — say they are “very concerned” about this.
McCain isn’t his own man. He’s an older George W. Bush with a military record.

If you vote with the president’s position 95 percent of the time in 2007, you have to expect this. I’m not prepared to say that means necessarily that Sen. McCain will be Bush III if elected – in some instances the President’s position may have just been McCain’s preferred alternative of the choices offered, rather than his own preferred position – but still, the observation that their positions are similar is perfectly valid. I imagine this will turn on some people and, at this point, probably turn off a lot more.
I think that more than anything else is going to sink McCain. Keep hammering it. Unlike all the ‘secret muslim flag lapel pin’ crap it’s true. The more McCain denies it the more he kills his straight talk public image too. He sold the Bush lockstep too hard during the primaries.
