Oh, Religious Right…

… sometimes it really sucks sharing the same planet with you. I don’t understand how allowing gay people the same basic privileges as the rest of us turns the earth on its axis.

    Like I always say,

    “Fine, wallow in ignorance.”

  2. C.S.Strowbridge says:

That would be fine, except they keep trying to push their ignorance onto others. Not just push it, but legislate it.

I saw part of this episode. It’s just amazing that this woman can sit there and calmly discuss how she wants to eliminate the family with whom she’s sharing meals and a roof. Because she prayed and God told her to think this way. Really? Haven’t we seen this before? 300 years ago, she would’ve had a problem with the indians. 200 years ago, she would’ve had a problem with the negroes. 70 years ago, she would’ve had a problem with the jews. 40 years ago, she would’ve had a problem with interracial couples. Today, it’s the gays. It’s always someone else causing her problems, just for existing. Well F*CK her!

    George Carlin

    – You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci. Two reasons; first of all, I think he’s a good actor. Okay. To me, that counts. Second; he looks like a guy who can get things done. Joe Pesci doesn’t fuck around. Doesn’t fuck around. In fact, Joe Pesci came through on a couple of things that God was having trouble with. For years I asked God to do something about my noisy neighbor with the barking dog. Joe Pesci straightened that cock-sucker out with one visit.

    Oh, Oliver…

Again, showing of your boundless reserves of liberal tolerance.

You are a shining example to us all. Would that we could all be more like you, secure in the knowledge that all it takes to spin your world on its axis is a third party blog post about a women you’ve never met, who holds a view with which you disagree.

Thank you for showing the way.

Matt: “Again, showing of your boundless reserves of liberal tolerance.”

Hey Matt, it isn’t intolerant to fight against intolerance.

    Fucking moron.

  7. Sean D. Martin says:

    Oh, matt621…

Another shining example of criticizing someone for something they didn’t say.

  8. I believe in this woman’s right to drag her knuckles but my tolerance ends when she tries to impose it on the rest of us.

Oh, so sorry, you’re looking for those crusty peaceniks who still love everyone and bang on drums made of unrefined pure hemp.

These days it’s calling people for what they are. In this case, fucking idiots.

It’s the new millennium. Efficiency rules.

I know all right-wingers aren’t stupid, at least that’s what I keep telling myself. But geez.

No one has a problem with this woman believing what she wants to believe. The problem is that she and millions of others like her want to destroy families over their intolerance of homosexuality.

Intolerance of racism isn’t the same as being a racist.

Intolerance of homophobia isn’t the same as being a homophobe.

See the difference? Gays want the fundies to live their own lives and to be left alone. But the fundies don’t want gays to have that same priviledge.

If right-wingers aren’t stupid, then why is this so hard for them to grasp?

  11. Mister Man says:

We can settle what she refers to as “let’s not step on each other’s toes” by making it a level playing field. If gays can’t adopt, then neither can mormons. God told me so. Oh wait maybe that was “dog.”
