While Larry did start No Quarter, it looks like that particular post was done by someone named “Concerned Mother”.
It’s all sockpuppetry. Read through comments and it becomes abundantly clear that Susan and Larry create “contributers” to avoid personal damage. All the posts have Susan’s email. The kicker is that anytime a contributer writes something racist/sexist/homophobic, they show up in comments to say it can’t be because they themselves are black/female/gay… The ultimate was the vividly homophobic post denouncing Andrew Sullivan (called him a fairy or a fruit, etc), which was really written by a gay man. Bullshit sockpuppetry of the first order…
the whole site is a cynical exercise in gaining traffic and having a ‘successful blog’. it isn’t sincere or honest in any respect. either that, or there’s a lot of bat-crap crazy people out there. oh. true that.
I used to really like that blog. It’s too bad they went crazy.
