My brother who lives in NC said that he doesn’t “think this country is ready to elect a black man President.”
How do I respond to that? “Well, Stu, not with that attitude it won’t?”
And yet he “likes” Obama.
Well, you can tell him that the latest CBS poll says that 70% of Americans are ready. This question always weirds me out. What do they mean by “ready,” anyway? And if it’s not “ready,” what will make it ready?
I live in NC and I’ll tell you that John McCain doesn’t ahve a chance here. He’ll get the redneck vote in the boonies…but he’s toast here. I can’t find a McCain placard anywhere.
