Forward, Not Back

Upcoming NBC/WSJ poll seems to confirm what we’ve known to be true of America.
Asked to respond to two statements, 59% of voters said they believed “This is a time to have a president who will focus on progress and help move America forward,” while 37% of voters favored the statement, “This is a time to have a president who will focus on protecting what has made America great.” Just 4% said they weren’t sure.
Clearly this is good for John McCain.

Kang: It does not matter which way you vote. Either way your planet is doomed. Doomed. Doomed.
Kent Brockman: Well, a refreshing bit of candor from Senator Bob Dole.
Ah, for McCain to bring back the wonder of his childhood days. Bubonic plague, now that was a plague. And burning heretics as witches? That was the way to handle dissent. No foolish debate about waterboarding either, thumbscrews! And if you didn’t like it, well, McCain would be happy to stretch you on the rack.
