John McCain: Lying Or Senile

McCain claims he didn’t criticize press coverage of Sen. Clinton. But then, somebody had a crazy idea: let’s check the tape. Another John McCain falsehood sees the light of day.

Senator, when the light is on the camera is recording you.

Probably a gaffe, like when Obama thought there were 57 states.

The difference between the 57-state gaffe and McCain’s statements is that Obama got a fact wrong (and then corrected himself). McCain got wrong something that came out of his own mouth.

The hell with John McBush. I want to hear Oliver opine on the latest Jessica Alba news!! ;-)

Read the article, Squidward; clearly not a gaffe. He directly denies saying what he said.

Yeah, Spider. kinda like Jay Rockerfeller, eh?

(What- no acerbic post on that WaPo editorial yet today Oliver?)

    Spider,
Obama has repeatedly backtracked, mispoke, and forgot he has said things. I have always attributed this to the stress of the campaign trail and the simple fact that he has to give alot of speeches. McCain and Clinton are quite friendly in the Senate, it is not suprising that he would go into a defensive mode about her.

“McCain and Clinton are quite friendly in the Senate, it is not suprising that he would go into a defensive mode about her.”

    So he lied?

    C.S.,
I dunno, possibly, did Obama lie about meeting without preconditions, or did he just change the meaning of the word. McCain is, unfortunately, not nearly as smooth when he backtracks.

Squid Shark: “McCain and Clinton are quite friendly in the Senate, it is not suprising that he would go into a defensive mode about her.”

    Me: “So he lied?”

    Squid Shark: “I dunno…”

Then you are not worth talking to. Too dumb to debate. Nothing you say matters unless you can back it up with links. Odds are whatever you say is simply wrong.

    C.S.,
If you had read past the “I Dunno” you would see my point that I cant read into McCains Mind. It is possible that he did lie. It is possible he is trying to backtrack. Unlike you apparently, I do not have a “link” into what people are thinking. (That and I do not know how to link things in the comment section.

Almost as funny as when William Jennings Bryan invited Switzerland to send its navy to the opening of the Panama Canal… Wow, only McMaverick could make WJB an Intarnets meme.

It doesn’t take magic to figure out when someone is lying.

“It is possible he is trying to backtrack”

    And backtracking is usually lying.

‘I didn’t actual say what you heard me saying. What I actually said was [insert lie here].’

    “And backtracking is usually lying.”

Indeed it is, welcome to Politics:

Obama: Lying or ADHD(since he is too young to make ageist
    jokes)?
