I was in Canada on Tuesday, and the Globe and Mail had the headline full across the top of the front page with a big ol’ photo! It’s so exciting to be involved in something that is such big news even in *other* countries. My in-laws love Obama as much as I do. They’re actually sad they can vote for him (they’re canadian).

In the early and mid-60’s there were always news stories about life in the “world of tomorrow.” I kept wondering when that would be. When the moon landing occurred, I thought “now we’re in the world of tommorrow.” This is the same kind of event.

Congrats to Obama. It took much too long to get to this point, both historically and in the drawn-out primary. I hope there will be enough Democrats who can stick with their party’s candidate, and enough independents and by god republicans who will come to their senses by November and realize that the GOP is abysmal at running government.
