Another bombshell video from Larry Johnson
As even some conservatives are acknowledging, Larry Johnson has simply made up this “whitey” video he’s been endlessly talking up (and who the deranged and desperate Taylor Marsh has promoted). He even apparently doctored his blog entry from a few days ago to cover his butt when it turned out he would pull a Geraldo this morning.
Well, you know what happens to liars. They keep digging. The latest from Larry Johnson:
But at the same time the Obama campaign has disseminated either a doctored or concocted transcript of the supposedly nonexistent videotape. Major Obama donors went to the campaign demanding explanations after the posting of my story on No Quarter about the contents of the videotape confirmed to me by several reliable sources, all Republicans with access to knowledge but who do not know each other.
So the campaign created a would-be transcript of the video it says doesn’t exist. In the Obama campaign produced transcript Michelle says “why’d he” instead of “whitey.” Very clever. Then the campaign sent this transcript to key Obamaton bloggers to circulate. And the campaign sent it to the donors to prevent them from having a nervous breakdown.
None of this happened. It simply never occured. I’m in a position to know this first hand, and it didn’t occur. Right now the Obama folks biggest concern is getting the superdelegates to finally come out of their shells – and succeeding. They aren’t concerned at all about Johnson’s made up video.
Of course, this video also shows chupacabra playing poker with Bigfoot while a perpetual motion machine moves in the background controlled by the face on Mars while a video tape of the fake moon landing is put into a VCR by the gunman on the grassy knoll.
Some people are morons. Others are idiots. Larry Johnson is that rare combination of the two.

A sundown townie’s job is never done
One additional point, since I (for my sins) read some of Johnson’s rants today, after laughing like a maniac when John Cole (or was it one of his commenters initially?) pointed out Booman’s “Why’d he -> Whitey” notion.
In some of his posts explaining to his followers how Booman is spreading dishonest propaganda fed him directly from Obama Campaign HQ, Johnson’s reply is “if this is their cover story then why is Michelle Obama on the same stage with Farrakhan”? or some such – I may be dumb enough to read Johnson once, but not enough to go back for links or quotes now.
Now, the funny thing, as a commenter to John Cole’s site noted, is that Booman’s transcript includes something along the lines of “Why’d he ignore Jena”? And Jena was in December 2006. Obama’s campaign formally started in January 2007, with speculation all the preceding fall.
If you believe Michelle Obama gave a speech standing next to Farrakhan in 2007, I’ve got a bridge I think you’d be interested in.
I’m glad this turned out to be nothing. Put the bubbly on ice, fallas. I think we’re going to have a coronation within the next 24 hours.
I find the knowledge that the execrable Larry Johnson is ex-CIA explains so many fuckups of the “intelligence community”, both in intelligence gathering and in operations. He’s a complete dolt, a moron, completely out of his depth even in the blogosphere, I just can’t begin to imagine him matching wits with the Soviets, the Israelis, or even the Italians. His idiocy is only exceeded by his profound sense of self-importance as he bumbles his way from one clusterfuck to the next. He is the Mr Bean of spooks, the Peter Sellers as James Bond in the original Casino Royale, a real-life Maxwell Smart. Only his hijinks come bereft of charm and accompanied with obvious racism. I only hope that an Obama nomination sends him slinking back to his former party, where he can release his demons without remorse, repercusion, or even notice.
Funny. The same people going off on Larry Johnson now were sucking his ass when he was going after the Bush administration on Iraq and Valerie Plame.

I’m going to back up Jay on this one…I was actually pretty impressed with Johnson’s writings on the Plame affair. That said, I think he’s gone off the rails somewhere in his fever to take down the scary young man poised to earn the Democratic nomination.
Him and Joe Wilson both.
Add to that the fact that It’s only in the past couple of days that we’ve heard any mention of Farrakhan being there. In my mind, that would be a newsworthy as her supposedly saying “whitey”. Why wasn’t there any mention of this in Johnson’r first post on the subject.
Oh, and… what black person in 2008 uses the slur “whitey”?
I don’t know if a tape exists or not. I don’t imagine how it could be kept secret, if it does exist.
But when I saw Johnson’s first post, I saw the word “news” and got the distinct impression that he was not going to post any video. Later when it went viral, I couldn’t imagine why people thought he was going to post the video.
Is Johnson right or wrong? Who knows. The CIA has been snookered before. They’ve snookered others, and it will happen again.
Regarding whitey/why’d he, all I can say is I loved Alvy Singer in Annie Hall. “You know, I was having lunch with some guys from NBC, so I said, ‘Did you eat yet or what?’ And Tom Christie said, ‘No, JEW?’ Not ‘Did you?’…JEW eat? JEW? You get it? JEW eat?”
Jerry, you might have missed the original post where Johnson promised a tape by 9AM Monday because he altered the post. Apparently be realized his bluff was being called so he tried to hide it. I’m pretty sure it’s still on teh intertubes somewhere.
And Johnson is wrong. Period.
yeah, Johnson is quite a turd, sorry to say. now that the response from Charles T. Payne, Obama’s great uncle, is out and about, talking about his experiences in WWII, I’m sure we’ll all see the apology from Larry sometime soon….. I’m sure…..

Larry stepped in it, figured it would only stay within that little bubble of angst he’s created. And when it got out didn’t know how to handle it (hence the evolving story).
