That’s sort of beyond bitter.

I am bitter and I am clinging to my gun!

  1. jerry says:

Yes, that’s disgusting and way over the line. It’s also the sort of talk that can get one a visit from the FBI, as happened to one guy spouting off at about that level a few years ago at FARK.

  2. Bruce says:

I don’t get why people hate Obama. Oh wait, this has been a racist country for 450 years.

  3. Bruce says:

It’s really bizarre how whacked so many of her non-assassination referencing commenters are, too.

  4. C.S.Strowbridge says:

Beyond bitter? That’s psychotic. That’s close to criminal. That’s certainly enough to get the Secret Service to pay her a visit.

  5. Vanessa says:

They say his nose is in the air?? He’s one of the most humble politicians I’ve ever seen.

As for their references to shooting him — I agree — absolutely sick.

  6. Crusty Dem says:

Ugh, Oliver. I’m not sure how you can wade through all the mental flotsam and jetsam over there.

  7. Robster says:

The FBI has apparently contacted Larry Johnson over comments in his shiteous blog No Quarter. How much longer will it be before Veruca Salt (TM) gets a visit or phone call from them?

  8. switched says:

Disgusting. I just wasted way too much time in the marsh… Interesting that the comments are moderated and what they think is appropriate there.

  9. Rob in IL says:

    Frightening stuff.

The closer we are to nominating Barack, the more I worry for his safety. First I feared a white supremacist nut, but now with these unhinged Clinton supporters I fear a Squeeaky Fromme.

This campaign could be uplifting or gut wrenching…time will tell.

  10. anotherbozo says:

I’ve been pondering this safety issue, how this is the most exciting candidate in decades and how rampant our country with racist nut cases, political loonies, etc. I think Obama’s safety may be helped by how looooong this campaign has been, how he’s become part of the landscape and thus no longer so threatening in their paranoid little minds.

That’s my consoling thought and I’m sticking with it.

  11. Bostondreams says:

The Marsh is a swamp. No doubt about it.

  12. trevjr says:

hillary has encouraged her supporters to act in this way. Look at the over 50 white women weeping on TV over the RCN decision. This was part of hillary’s kitchen sink strategy, to pull the sexism card ‘the man is taking the woman’s show away’. Father Pflueger said it better.

  13. Thom says:

That commenter has ben banned and those comments removed – but comments that repeated those exact comments and gave them an “LOL” are still there. Unbelievable.

  14. Sean D. Martin says:

    Unbelievable.

Alas, no. Far, far too few these days will say “This behavior is just not acceptable.” Be it a politician to their followers, a blogger to their commenters or a parent to their child. (Far, far to few seem to even recognize it as unacceptable.)

  15. durablend says:

You should see some of the sickness that’s up on YouTube

  16. Duros62 says:

it is so good I live out in the middle of nowhere because right now there is a string of obscenities coming from my mouth.

Yeah, me too. But probably not for the same reasons.

  17. Good grief! This is simply intolerable. But Clinton’s remark about RFK brought this out into the open, I believe. She’s doing that old Reagan thing of saying something outrageous to the conscience so that it becomes part of the public consciousness and some lunatic with poor impulse control will believe it’s OK to echo the voices in their head.

I fear for Obama’s safety. Let’s hope the Secret Service put its own racism aside to visit this woman and warn her of consequences.

  18. Gatsby says:

OMG. I’ve thought many of them over at Taylor Marsh are dangerous, but that’s truly frightening. I have read comments asking where “Average Jane” is, so apparently Taylor Marsh did not make issue of it. I hope the FBI stays on top of these.
