Some Questions On McCain’s FEC Report

The DNC just sent out an interesting memo after combing through the FEC report just filed by he McCain campaign. Some highlights:

McCain Victory Committee Not That Big?

The McCain Victory Committee, their joint fundraising operation with the RNC raised only $151,000 for the McCain campaign during April.

Shouldn’t They Have A Few More Offices Then This?

The report only shows rent paid for offices in the DC and NY areas: They have paid the Charles E. Smith Real Estate Services, LP rent for their DC area headquarters, and a small payment to C2 Group at 101 Constitutional Ave in DC. The only other rent payment is to Mosbacher Properties Inc, a New York City commercial real estate firm.

The McCain campaign paid almost another $41,000 for the use of his wife’s corporate jet. They also received $177,000 in PAC money from energy companies and communications companies (who McCain is in oversight of on the commerce committee).

    And if McCains not observing the spending limits, why should he bother to reserve silly things like paying for offices instead of borrowing them off friends?
