Still horrific on economic policy, however, so put those running mate dreams back in the box.

A few years ago I recommended MSNBC become an alternative to Fox. They’ve done that (not strong enough, they need to give Rachel Maddow a show), seen ratings rise, and of course there is push back. You win again “liberal media”.

They’ll boot your car. Happened to a friend of mine once right down there. We went to watch models play volleyball and lost track of time. One of the few *good* things about FL.

Never heard of “Balloon Juice,” but liked the article. Giving me the excuse to apply Rovian Principle I and blow the White Lady’s cover. That principle being that if a motive is loathsome and vile enough, and it’s exercised in broad daylight, most upstanding folks will have trouble believing it. So Hill has continued to divide the party with a meat cleaver far beyond any hope of the nomination, will continue all the way up to the convention (all those Michigan and Florida delegates!), after which she’ll give the few minutes remaining cheering on Obama. With McCain’s, hers and Bill’s continual triple teaming–the 2 last don’t even HAVE to badmouth Obama for theire plan to work–will weaken him sufficiently, she thinks, that he’ll lose the general and–guess who?–will be ready with “I told you so” in 2012. With the organization presumably intact.
Their gambit is that this strategy can hide under the I’m-a-fighter, let’s-let-all-the-voters-be-heard, I’m-still-winning-states-so- what-the-hey hogwash, that blinders most of the MSM pundits, who take her at her word that a McCain victory in Nov. is unthinkable to any loyal Democrat.
But not unthinkable for the Clintons.
What’s four more years of Bush if the Rightful Heiress can take her proper place?
I really wish someone of sufficient standing in the party (Dean? With Pelosi and Reid at his side?) would sit Hillary down and simply explain to her that she is not ever going to be president. “Refuse to believe it if you want, Hillary. But it simply is not going to happen. We won’t let it. You can continue to run thru June 3 to save some face but then you are going to gracefully bow out, put your whole hearted support behind Obama and continue with a distinguished career in the Senate or as Governor of NY. But you are NOT going to continue this charade thru to the convention. And should Obama lose the General you will not be the party’s candidate in 2012. We absolutely guarantee it.”
Doubt that even the Chair, the Speaker and the Majority Whip could tell the First Family of the Democratic Party what to do. Would that they could.
Did you catch Olberman saying that Countdown had the highest ratings EVAR when Rachel was guest hosting? Note to MSNBC: Hardball with Rachel Maddow has a nice ring to it.

Sadly, I (kinda) agree. I doubt anyone could tell the Clinton’s what to do and have them do it. I wish they would, but I don’t think the Clintons are inclined or capable of hearing good advice.
