GOP Bigot Eruption: Conservative Talk Host “Gunny Bob” Says Obama Should Try To “Whip My White Ass”

These guys can’t learn, and they can’t contain themselves. I’ve heard of diarrhea of the mouth, but these guys have it on the brain.
Newsradio 850 KOA’s “Gunny” Bob Newman labeled Sen. Barack Obama a “clown” and stated, “Son, you are not some sort of macho tough guy, trust me.” Referring to Obama’s statement that “these folks should lay off my wife,” issued in response to a GOP ad mocking comments by Michelle Obama, Newman declared, “You’re a far-left, terrorist-hugging politician, not the bad-boy gangsta you want people to believe you are.”

OW….This is over the top…yes…I agree, but I’m not thinking that voting for Obama because he’s “not White” is a particularly a good strategy.
He won’t get my vote. You already know why. He’s got questionalble associations, and he doesn’t have the experience in the Senate to be our leader. AND HE CAN NOT WIN THE PRESIDENCY.
As far as you calling me stupid. Well, I’ll throw my degress, my experience, my pain, my BS…vs yours any day of the week you twinkie eating snowflake.
You run a nice blog, but in the 5 years I’ve been coming here, I’ve noticed that..well….”you run a nice blog.”
I’m far more of a liberal (as a Massachuetts liberal) than you’ll ever dream to be, and Teddy aside, JFK, RFK are far closer to McCain than they are Obama. JFK would roll over in his grave if he hear Michelle Obama, or Rev. Wright.
As I write this…Kentucky just went to Clinton. Last week, West Virginia.
Obama can’t win the states that Clinton won…but Clinton can win the states that Obama won.
If you’re a real D…ask yourself.
JK
Gunny Bob is a *****. I’ll put my money on Obama if they square off.
A real “D” votes for the party’s nominee, not a neocon.
“He’s (Obama’s got questionable associations)…”
So does McCain (Hagee, G. Gordon Liddy).
“… and he doesn’t have experience in the Senate to be our leader.”
What “experience in the Senate” did Reagan or President Bush have (Answer: none)?
All,
I’m concerned.
Yes, history can re-make itself, but I’m a big beliver in historical trends when it comes to U.S. national electoral politics.
You need to win West Virginia and Kentucky to win the WH.
Then again, nobody ever thought we’d have an Irish Catholic as President…
Having said all that, we want a D’ to win. I’d be fine with McCain…but I’d rather have Hillary running the show. Obama won’t get my vote come H’ or Highwater. He lost me when he sat with Wright for 20 years. Nuff’ said. Done deal…he slept’ with the Devil.
Do you want a Dem to win, or not? If you do, start writing, calling to the DNC on Clinton’s behalf.
JK
yawn… You’re both boring and an idiot, JK. Point of fact: Obama’s “questionable associations” are less egregious than McCains. Two, experience ain’t all that its cracked up to be… Look at the current administration. Thirdly, you voting for McCain in part bc Obama “cannot win the presidency” is circular in nature. Maybe if idiots like you thought logically you’d realize that.
And saying McCain is closer to JFK than BO… God damn, you’re a moron. How can one even attempt to reason with you… Oh and finally, who gives a shit about what michelle obama says? Is she running for president? No? Ok then.
You keep on insisting that you’re smarter than everyone else here bc you’re not voting for BO. Well, let’s see a good, well reasoned, logical argument instead of this horseshoe that means nothing. Otherwise kindly shut your fucking mouth.
1. Horseshoe = horseshit
2. Wright doesn’t fucking matter, you stupid ass. Buy a fucking clue.
My first inclination was to delete JK’s comments, because I don’t have a problem with people disagreeing with me – heck, I encourage it – but I don’t need to take personal insults on my own site. (though I’ll admit some of the dumbest people I’ve ever met have shelves full of degrees and some of the smartest didn’t even go to high school)
But in fact, I’ll let them stand, because they’re the exact sort of comments you would expect from a bigoted dumbass who votes for John McCain because they’re afraid of a scary black preacher.
The difference between you and Gunny Bob is that Bob is at least honest with his reason for opposing Obama.
JK: Do you want a Dem to win, or not?
And, clearly, you do not.
Also: I don’t even fucking like Twinkies that much. Jeez!
Do you want a Dem to win, or not?
Interesting question, JK. Do you?
EVERYBODY has questionable associations. That’s not a valid argument for not voting for the democratic nominee.
The whole Wright thing is an issue in the minds of the punditocracy much more than normal people, as the recent Mississippi election shows. If $1.5 million of ads and appearances by GOP heavyweights trying to scare an R 10 district with “scary liberal nigger Obama and Wright” didn’t score them a win, then they’ve got nothin!
Yes, history can re-make itself, but I’m a big beliver in historical trends when it comes to U.S. national electoral politics.
I urge you to watch American Experience on FDR part 2. FDR’s guidance effectively re-shaped history, and he didn’t have that much so-called experience when he won the presidency. This country was in a whole word of hurt when he took office. He turned it all around by force of will and trying new things. Some worked, some didn’t, but he was honest about what didn’t. We had the thinnest of military budgets at the beginning of WWII, soldiers training with wooden rifles and trucks with TANK written on the side.
Gunny would likely collapse like a dry-rotted accordion if MICHELLE Obama gave him a hard look in person…
President Barack Obama. Learn to love it.
I’m concerned.
Indeed. You are the very paragon of Concern Troll.
Phony.
Bumony.
Concern Troll.
You better make for the dry cleaners, JK, I think your sheets have been cleaned and pressed.
JK,
If you’re going to vote for McCain over Obama, you shouldn’t really count “AND HE CAN NOT WIN THE PRESIDENCY” as a reason for why you’re voting for McCain. I mean, can you not see the self-fulfilling/self-defeating logic of that argument?
You’re voting for Obama’s opponent because you don’t think Obama can beat his opponent? That makes sense to you?
JK,
Plenty of us in the Democratic party are fairly certain that Obam is going to win the presidency. The Democrats would love for you to be a part of it. That is not meant to sound condescending — we really would love to have you on our side.
I am a white 31-year-old woman. A feminist. My late mother, a baby-boomer, was a feminist and a staunch Democrat (my late father was a Republican, but that’s another story). Growing up, I supported and admired Hillary Clinton, but I switched my support to Obama after many years of Clinton moving slowly towards the right.
I don’t know where I’m going with this little bio, except to say that: WE ARE ON THE SAME TEAM!
I am a Democrat. You are a Democrat. When it comes down to the nitty gritty, I will always vote on Democratic policies. Would I vote for Clinton over McCain? Absolutely. Can we ask you to do the same, fellow Democrat? Can we ask you to vote for the Democratic candidate over the Republican, even if the Democratic candidate wasn’t your first choice?
Hold your nose and pull the lever, JK. It won’t hurt.
But you might feel a little prick.
I got some news for you folks:
This just in. JK is not a Democrat. S/He’s a Concern Troll. Do not feed.
ed,
I was beginning to think as much. Thanks for the reality check. Sometimes I can be such a naive Democrat.
JK – I responded to all of your concerns on a different thread. You were silent. I’m not going to waste the time either to retype my statements or to even search out the original post and cut/paste.
My only question left for you, at this point, is how do you manage to keep your fingers in your ears while you’re stuffing your head up your ass?
Vanessa: I am a Democrat. You are a Democrat. When it comes down to the nitty gritty, I will always vote on Democratic policies.
I was raised in a family that always voted for the Democrat and, even after growing and forming my own opinions (a trait strongly encouraged by my parents) I have yet to vote for a Republican over a Democrat. But that doesn’t mean I vote for the Democrat automatically. They still have to earn my vote and many times they haven’t.
Blind loyalty to a party is not a virtue. Parties change, policies change. You should vote for whoever you believe will best represent you, who most closely shares your views, who you believe will do the best job. And if that usually happens to be a Democrat (or Republican or Libertarian or…) great. But the decision should not be which party label a candidate has by their name.
Vote Democrat because they actually share your views. Don’t vote Democrat just because you always have.
my money’s on Obama, too. When he shows up for the fistfight, Gunny Bob will say “Can’t you take a joke”?
Sean,
I agree with you, “blind loyalty to a party is not a virtue”. I vote on policy. I agree with the Democratic policy over Republican policy any day. I’m not blinded by party loyalty, though I am loyal to my party. I am very well read and informed on the issues. There is a striking difference between Democratic policy and Republican policy.
I think some Americans make the race into a popularity contest. That is one of the reasons that GWB got elected. Do I like HRC? No, not really. Does McCain remind me of my good-natured Republican friends? Yes, I could have a beer with him, but that doesn’t mean I’m voting for him. I believe that Hillary’s policies are better for Americans than McCain’s policies.
Until the Democrats move to the right of Republicans on the issues (health care, abortion, separation of church and state, funding for public education) I will always vote Democrat.
Peace.
Vanessa
Sean,
In the country where I was raised (Canada) we didn’t get to choose our candidate, we only got to choose our party. I must say that I strongly prefer the American system, HOWEVER one of the benefits of the Canadian system was that we voted on party POLICY. It was about the issues, it wasn’t the popularity contest that we have in the US.
I prefer the American system because I don’t believe that elected officials are always astute enough to recognize the preferences of the voters. Furthermore, I am realistic enough to understand that personality matters. If we had left it up to the Democratic officials, HRC would no doubt be our candidate (I think most of us can agree with that statement). The thing is that Obama has characteristics that will make him a better leader than Clinton (in my opinion). Obama thinks before he acts. He’s humble, well-spoken, inspiring and he appears to care about ALL Americans.
I could go on, but I’m sort of off on a tangent. I think I’ve made my point.
This guy clearly defines what it is to be a blowhard. Its what happens when they feel cornered and afraid, they pump thier nuts and become Superman.
“Gunny Bob” is a member of a bunch of sad sacks on a once-proud radio station in Denver. This pathetic crew has been an embarrassment to Colorado for years, covering a large area with a thin layer of drivel.
how do you manage to keep your fingers in your ears while you’re stuffing your head up your ass?
And still type? That’s the most amazing part.
Hell, if Barnum were still alive he’d be the first to sell tickets.
I’d buy one.
