Obama To Blame
Tweet
Not only must Barack Obama contend with conservatives claiming he must apologize for every bad thing a black person has done ever, now the Clinton supporters say he has to apologize for all sexism. Real and imagined.

It’s been pretty shocking how man so-called feminists have read sexism into nearly everything Obama has done, but refuse to see anything remotely racist in anything that has happened at all. Racism, you see, is something only Republicans do. Sexism is something all men and most women who aren’t upper-class white feminists do.
It’s like Magic!
There were lots of charges of racism and sexism on both sides. Granted.
But what did Obama do to elevate the discussion of race? He gave one of the most eloquent speeches in American history.
What did Mrs. Clinton do to elevate the discussion of sexism? Zilch.
In all sincerity, it would not surprise me at all to find out that Obama, in whose household he’s the only male, will do more to bring issues of gender equality to the fore than the safe, conservative Clinton ever would have.
When people were calling for Clinton to exit from the race, Obama said she could stay in as long as she liked. That was jumped on by Clinton supporters as sexism. I kid you not.
If Obama ever were to speak out against the rampant misogyny, he would only be opening himself to charges of playing the brave knight, riding in to rescue the poor helpless damsel in distress. No matter what he does on this, he gets it coming and going.
That’s the essential truth of this campaign that Clinton just hasn’t grasped. Both candidates are historic, but both are vulnerable to the trap of identity politics. Clinton has chosen to use identity politics to her benefit, and she’s finding the negatives are outweighing the positives.
Obama has tried to rise above identity politics. Whether he will succeed or not is still unknown, but it’s helping define him as principled and giving him some protection against charges of sexism.
Thank goodness for the feminist paradises of Appalachia for not buying into Obama’s sexism. And all those African American women who voted for Obama are the ultimate oppressors.
Also, what Frank M said.
