Like I said with Cazeynoux, Childers will probably be an Zell-Miller-type anti-Democrat Democrat. He will almost certainly vote with conservative Republicans on just about everything; heck, I bet he will even vote for John McCain for president.

An interesting thing about this district is that the Republican is the mayor of Southaven, which was formed after Elvis moved into Graceland, which is a Memphis suburb still in TN in a place called Whitehaven. But after Elvis moved there, black people started moving in, so the whites packed up and moved across the border and formed Southaven. So these assholes lost yesterday is what I’m saying, and that’s great. I’m sure Elvis is smiling down on this victory today.

This is fucking awesome! I read reports that the Democrats could rise to 250 seats in November and my first thought was, ‘Fuck that. 250 would be disappointing. They could win 260, maybe even 270.’

I promise to mount and take a photo of my new Mississippi car tag (got it day before yesterday…but I’m still running with my expired April tag….you guys know the one….IMPEACH). It will be retired today and replaced with OBAMA08!

Mississippi does not need these kinds of positive stories floating around. First we get a huge Nissan factory in north Jackson, and now progressive legislators.

Before long, the Yankees are going to figure out that not only is it warm here in the winter, but we aren’t all backwater hicks and ex Klan members.

Nothing will bastardize a good place faster than a little good press. Now that Obama is helping to ease the race barrier, I expect I’ll be seeing a lot more of my fair-skinned Yankee brethren in da ‘hood.
