Texas?

Rasmussen has a poll where Obama only loses Texas by 5% to McCain. Maybe the poll is noise, but hmmm.

Not the first one. SUSA had a poll in late February showing Obama down 1%.

I keep trying to tell people – TX will be competitive and McCain will be forced to spend money there against Obama! But they don’t believe me!

Spending money in Texas will mean he can’t spend money in Iowa, Missouri, Colorado, Virginia, etc. Obama opens up a lot more states, which is terrible news for the Republicans since they are way, way behind in the money.
Exactly. The goal is not so much to win as to force the goopers to defend a state that “should” have been a lock for them. And make no mistake, Obama is going to WAY WAY outraise McCain (I sure hope he’s not dumb enough to fall for the public financing crap- I don’t think he is) so it’s really gonna hurt in the ol’ pocketbook.
