Very inspiring, but a bit lofty, self-righteous, and arrogant.
They’re not the only ones on that road.
At last they’re not in the gutter, shameless, and arrogant like you-know=who and her supporters.
Nowhere on that sign does it say they ARE the only ones on that road.
Nowhere on that sign does it say they ARE the only ones on that road.
Read it again. Dude, they’re not just traveling that road, they’re carving it.
So it does. Oh my goodness, so arrogant. I’m looking forward to the leadership qualities of the others, who will doubtless tell me that there’s no need to do anything differently, business as usual will work just fine as long as it has a different CEO at the helm…and in that way, they will somehow not be arrogant.
And for all the inspiration and hope and change reflected on that sign, they left off the part about how sometimes it’s still just politics as usual.
From the link at the link:
“There is a YouTube clip circulating the internet of Mickey Kantor, a former Clinton advisor, allegedly saying derogatory things about residents of Indiana.
This clip is a total fabrication. The filmmaker confirmed that the video, which originates from the 1992 film War Room, has been doctored.”
Yes, because we know Clintonistas have demonstrated so far in this campaign that they would never push out a clip like that and blame it on the Obama folks.

Ah yes, the old “Steal your own car and drive it off a cliff and then report to the police that it was stolen by your rival” ploy. “But why would I steal my own car, officer?” Brilliant! Foolproof. Works every time.
Yep, that’s gotta be it, because we know that there is just no way in Hell that the Campaign of Hope and Change could ever resort to cheap political tricks. Just. Not. Possible.

No need to carve out a new road or blaze a trail. Just repave the old one and a fresh coat of paint. voila!
Amen to this message. Keep your eye on the prize and don’t let these negative voices get you down.
Obama ‘08
Yes We Can.
P.S. Oliver, thank you for continuing this blog despite the criticism you receive. This campaign will ultimately succeed because of people like you.
Dave, interesting post. I’m sure you left out the proof that it came from the Obama campaign. Can you be a good little boy and post it? Thanks!

Actually, I was waiting for Oliver to post proof to back up HIS claim that the Clinton camp did this to themselves.
Oliver, Enlightened Liberal would like you to be a good little boy and post some proof to back up your claim. Get on that, would you? Thanks.
Dave, last I checked, you were the first to make an insinuation about how Obama’s team is responsible for that doctored film clip. Oliver was merely responding to your absurd implication with an equally-plausible (but yes, still absurd) scenario.
My brain hurts from the stoopid that gets bandied about in these comment boards. I don’t understand how certain people can dress themselves, much less find their way to a political blog and figure out how to post their cognitive deficiencies for the whole world to see…
“Actually, I was waiting for Oliver to post proof to back up HIS claim that the Clinton camp did this to themselves.”
Non answer noted. Looking forward to your retraction.
Way to go, Dave!! You served up a crushed Spider, LOL.
I agree with you: The dogma, hipocrisy and dissembling here gets so thick sometimes you have to do something.
